My new Potter's Leopard Wrasse

Hey All!

Ali at Amazing Aquariumss and Reefs picked one up for me today. It is really healthy and is already happily swimming right next to my other Leopard (blackspotted).

I just temp acclimated it, dumped the water into a net and bucket, and let it loose.

I fed some brine flakes but no luck yet on eating. The other leopard eats pellets, brine and formula 2 flakes, mysis, and cyclops so I'm hoping this one sees her eating and does as well.

I'll keep you guys and gals posted with the wrasses progress.

I am thinking of dosing my DT with prazipro but I'm going to do more research first.

Beautiful fish and one of my favorites. Good luck Cody let me know what he eats on the best? Mine have eaten mysis, but nothing else yet.

Hey Bryce. No because I asked him to leave it in the bag from the wholesaler. I picked it up from his shop when he opened about 2.

I realize I may have trouble but worth a try.

wow thats cheap, especially for Ali..

liveaquaria sells for 49.99

im going to order one from him, thanks for the tip

the plus of liveaquaria is getting a fish thats eating and has been qt. I am taking my chances.

He really picked out a nice one for me. No damage. Beautiful colors. It didnt even dive in the sand when I introduced her to the rest of her new family. Really active. I'm happy about it.

Hasn't looked at flakes or mysis yet. I'll try again tomorrow.

I have a large fuge with plenty of pods in the tank so she should at least survive while I get her on something else.

For those interested in getting one of these, I found a good article that you should give a read.

Oh thats good. Right out of the bag is where it's at. That's the only time I'll buy a fish from the reef. I'd love to have one as well. Tomorrow I'll take a trip and see what I can find.

WoW Cody my leopard likes the potters ??? you know that same fish has killed over 300$ in other leopard wrasses in my tank.. im so jealous so

I'm thinking cuz yours was one of the last fish I added... she has been extremely passive in my tank. They did look at eachother for a bit, but shortly after dropping the potters in the were all schooling together.

I totally forgot you had told me that, so we'll see what happens I guess. She eats everything I put in the tank now, thanks again.

I hate you Cody.

Don't leave your tank unattended...

BeanMachine loves you.

Awesome fish!!!

Thanks Steven, I hope I can get it to eat.

ya they normally are not aggressive towards each other so i wouldn't worry. I had her in my tank for about 7 months and she ruled with an iron fist in my tank. But again im jellous

beautiful fish...has it burried itself yet? i had one that burried itself and never came out.

She dove in last night at 9pm with the other leopard. When I went home for lunch she was out and about as soon as the lights came on at noon. Just watching the food pass by still. It hasnt been 24 hours yet so hopefully I'll have luck with it eating.

Congrats on a gorgeous wrasse.
Have you tried Nutramar OVA for food yet?
