I just went to work on my tank and the kohl tang that is usually fairly secretive was out. It is HUGE! My first thought was pregnancy, which was immediately followed by, wait, they lay eggs. I have Yellow Tang in the tank, as well. Nothing else has been added in months. What could be going on?
My Tang looks like a puffer fish!!!! What's wrong?

Not an expert in this species, but dropsy is a problem with some species. Google same as 'fish dropsy' and compare pix. What causes it is varied, and some causes are treatable, some not so much. Do that check and also get a photo if you can, plus give us the salt, alkalinity and if possible the calcium levels of your tank. Also has there been any heat/cooling extreme?
