My tank after 1 year.

Great tank, Keep an eye on that frag rack I had 2 of them and found the plastic around the magnets started to leak and there was a bunch of rust inside inside the plastic.

I agree with Sahin, we need more pics :)

Especially of this acro, I've never seen another like it.

Hey  any update bro? What about those pics you promised? :spin1:
Hi Carlitos, sorry for taking so long, I've been awfully busy, here's a sump pic, I just removed my RDSD and installed an AI SOL in there so I have some room for my frags.

What brand of biopellets are you running?

I'm running a SOUP of biopellets, I have the first and the second generation of the NP-Biopellest, Katalist and just added some from Dr Tim.

Would you provide a coral list? This is stunning.

Thanks D I'll list them and post.

Hi there, can you detail what sort of rocks you used for this tank?
What methods did you employ to clean the rocks of phosphate etc?

Many thanks. Please keep this nice tank thread updated.
Hi Sahin, I used pacific rocks also known as sansibar, they are very heavy and very hard to work with, I used a saw to cut and cement to shape them as they are, it was worth it since I love the shape, but I would never do it again if you ask me, too much work. Since they are not from the ocean I did not worry about removing phosphate or any other thing. I just cooked them for some time to let the silica out of the cement.

Thanks for the tip Mammoth, with my new sump light I'll remove it.
seu tanque ta ben lega!!
continua o bom trabalho!!

Muchas gracias!!

Exceptionally superb pictures? Did you upgrade the camera or any change in settings....gosh some of the pics look 3D with that acro tips poking out...truly beautiful!!!

That Crab has a bad reputation, and the spot where he "lives" is white and I can barely see the polyps, but my kids love those guys, and the last time I took one out they gave me hell!!! And besides the Mille grows so fast .......

The pics are pure luck!!! I did get a new camera to take FTSs but I just suck at it!!!

Regards.

Texgv, awesome tank. Great pictures.

Just a heads up, your one picture showed a magnet frag rack. We just had a reefer here in Pittsburgh have a 180g tank crash because of the magnets rusting. I just put my eshopps in the garbage as well because the magnet on the water side was rusting inside of the acrylic.

Hello Mark,

Thanks for the warning, this weekend I'll be installing an eggcrate in the sump to put those frag plugs, and then I'll take the rack out.

Regards.

Your tank is amazing, up there with the best I've seen. Thanks for sharing the recent photo's.
Hi Gromero, Thanks so much u are too kind! I'm finally removing the corals that where on the sandbed and soon I'll take some pics and post.
:inlove: very nice !

Btw what skimmer is that & how do you like it?

Hello Fernandez, Thank you!!!! The skimmer is an AlphaCone 300, I love it, but if I was looking for a skimmer today I would go with a single pump skimmer, no matter how good a pump is, you will have problems with it, I replaced impellers a few times, with double pumps I got double problems, I'm thinking about replacing it with a Supermarin 250.

WOW!!! Amazing tank

Thank you!!!!!!!

Regards to all.
