My Ultimate Multi Mantis System(s)

I've decided on the most likely outcome of coral for STAND A...

6 compartments / 3 tanks.

Top Tank 1st Compartment - Dallas Acro Forest.
Top Tank 2nd Compartment - Birdsnest Forest.

Middle Tank 1st Compartment - Ricordea Garden.
Middle Tank 2nd Compartment - Rhodactis Garden.

Bottom Tank 1st Compartment - Zoanthid Garden.
Bottom Tank 2nd Comparment - Acan Field.

That will be the summing up of Stand A.

For the Top Tank I'm thinking about making some DIY Dousing HOBs that will place their nutrients directly into the SPS tank ensuring the SPS get what they need before the far more forgiving Mushrooms/Zoas & Acans.

I wanted to do better :) basically...

My aim is to create what I envision... :) and so far everything that I have envisioned, from the tanks themselves to the DIY Fake Walls I make have all turned out as I envisioned it :D.

Makes me wonder what your electric bill is like :D

Those ATOs are kinda what I wish I had. They didn't exist when I bought my ATO. Don't get me wrong, my Tunze 3155 is a really sweet ATO, it's super accurate, but for an all-in-one nano tank application, those Autoaquas are a way better choice space-wise. I'm still figuring out where or how I'm going to plumb a phosphate reactor into my system. Bio-pellets are super enticing, but they seem like they crash a lot of systems in the long run.

I'm using EcoPhos for my phosphate control...

What I was looking into bio-pellets for was Ammonia/Nitrate/Nitrite...however I don't want to add more pumps to my sumps for the reactors of the bio-pellets (got to remember everything most need 1 of I need 3 of...).

I'm going to give the marine pure ago :) I don't want live rock in the sump cause stuff just collects in the crevices between the pieces/rubble etc. this nice smooth simply block will tarp far less and still cover the Ammonia/Nitrite & Nitrate side of things.

My Premium Rics also arrived today!

That will be it for Ric's at least for now...in the future I might sell off all my Standards and start to put premiums on the base of the compartment as well xD...

6 were ordered :) (2 of each) however he also sent a free plain one and I also got the 6 Superman Rhods :D (only a couple in photo).

nice rics. if you had a stronger return you could run another tee pipe with a valve to feed your reactors. this would free up space in the sump not having to add another heat generating power sucking pump.

If you had the oppertunity to start over with these three systems would you build one big central sump connecting all three stands?

This has crossed my mind and am keeping it as back up but I also need minimal equipment for the sake of easy maintenance incase it needs to be done whilst I am not here...the Marine Pure is far easier to maintain...take it out, wash it under tank water, put it back...reactors need measuring etc. of the media going in and sometimes tinkering with the ball valves which can be too much to a fellow family member.

Yes I think the risk out weighs the costs...although I would still keep it like this in a sense where individual tanks can be shut off whilst the whole system itself keeps running.

Infact the future rebuild is going to be a 1 sump system but just 2 x 4 foot long tanks connected, 1 Refugium 1 Equipment with a GIANT skimmer, it will all sit under the displays and by the way I have the Displays planned out...a giant skimmer will fit easily (have about 1.5mtrs height to work with cause the back tanks of the stand will be high up.

Well I have everything I need to finish the upgrade except the Marine Pure :)

I'm going to sit, wait, watch and see how everything else goes and then I'll add some Marine Pure soon.

I want the Chaeto to explode.

Now that the stuff that was coming in the mail has arrived, I'll be spending most of today cleaning the 220L drum preparing it for its permanent residence as the ATO.

Still cleaning the Big Blue Drum :)

I gave it a quick scrub down with vinegar and have just filled it full with water and dumped about 8L of vinegar into it as well.

Might run a powerhead in it while its full to see if it helps with the vinegar.

I'm sacrificing the middle tank of STAND B the one that is currently empty and holding tiny Rics for something totally outside Stomatopods :) only because the 2 things I have come across are both very unique and I like them a LOT.

In short the middle tank of STAND B will now become a NEM tank :D...

I'm going to split the tank in half with a divider that I plan to DIY similar to the fake walls but more along the lines of "sand encrusted eggcrate" so that there are still holes for some flow (each half will has its own power head).

1 half is going to host a large hand sized rainbow Mini Maxi (can't release photo yet xD)...

The other half is likely to host a large, and yes dangerous...Hells Fire Anemone, but very vibrant and bright in color, very rare to.

I've heard of certain shrimp that can host the Hells Fire (not Stomatopods lol) but not with the Mini Maxi...

Due to the nature of the sales with these 2 very unique and vibrant nems I need to convert the tank ASAP, so need to get this ATO done ASAP, I really want the Nem tank done and already hosting the Rainbow Mini Maxi by this weekend whilst I still have my holidays.

The Hells Fire will come next week but I certainly need its half totally ready and done so I never have to really put my hand in again xD....

You can put a bunch of mini maxi's together and sexy shrimp love them. If you put a few in there they will go right to the mini maxi and live on it. I got one sexy to test it out and it's been there ever since for about 1.5 years now. I was going to get a bunch more but the shop went out of business.

I want to go a little bit nicer then sexy shrimp :)

Have read a bit how the Harlequin Crab will host Mini Maxi and the Porcelain Crab.

Depending on how many Mini Maxi I get (2-3) but I want 1 Harlequin crab which I'll buy with the super nice Mini Maxi that kick started all this, then buy 2 other equally Nice Mini Maxi as they turn up but give each 1 a Porcelain Crab each, be kool if I could get 2 porcelain pairs :D.

Crabs > Shrimp when it comes to hosting, I find the crabs much nicer, just as "busy" and far easier to "notice".

Due to the nature of the Super Nice Mini Maxi I want & the Hells Fire I want being on sale and as soon as others notice them...they will be purchased so I need to really finish the ATO right NOW!

Then start and hopefully finish the aquascaping in the Middle Tank of STAND B within 24-48hrs. The really nice Mini Maxi, MUST be acquired before Monday next week when I go back to work but the Hells Fire cannot be obtained until next week bu I really need to set its half up good before it comes to minimize me ever having to put my hands in with it due to the insane and crazy sting it gives humans....
