you saw the pics from a week ago, beautiful tank, 90, canopy, stand, reef keeper, sump, lighting, live rock, whatever might still be alive, skimmer, etc, etc...please dont low ball me, Im deployed and i just want it out, she is incompitent and I dont know what will happen if it stays in the house...It has to go all as one, a whole system because I am not dealing with seperating it while I am deployed....Make an offer but I want around 800......Mike

she left out of town and there was a problem with a power strip and she left to go out of town anyways and it threw a breaker and the power went out for 2 days and it is a loss...

sorry about the tank...but nothing good ever comes out of a line like your subject. I hope it gets better. If you have any critters still alive that you do not want to lose I could babysit them for you till you get back. best of luck

I concur with both of the posts above... but I do have to say, the internet is fairly anonymous and a great place to vent... yell at the "page" all you want if it helps you to be able to have measured and civil conversations with your wife once you've vented. Regardless, sorry for your loss.

i agree....a tank is replacible...its only money and some time...yelling at her and posting hate like that wont bring back the tank and might cause a huge rift in the relationship.....sorry bout the tank and hope you two work this out

thanks, she wont ever see it on here, but seriously, I dont get how I can take care of something and problem solve and she cant....oh well...I have some friends coming over to check it out and see...i dont know If everything is dead or not, but there was a problem with my dc8 and instead if fixing it she left to go out of town and thats what caused it....so, if anyone wants a great tank let me know

I completely understand the truth behind the title, however direct it is. do you have some pics available or a link to the tank?

Wish I could take it, but too far for me to try to find a ride. I am sure it will not fit in my Kia Rio. :) Too bad, I am itching to get back into it.

Prayers for you while you are away. Never did serve overseas, but if you ever need to shout out my e-mail address is jasonbour@comcast.net.

i dont really care if she saw it at this point...Three years down the drain and around 4400 gone...plus the fish were all over a year to two old and were like dogs to me, the way they begged and so on for food......the tank is sold, what a sad day.....I dont care if my wife saw this or not she is irresponsible and I will forever be upset about this probably a little inside...this wasnt just a hobby to me...if you go to my pic album u can see the pics...what an amazing tank......

im so sorry i didnt reply...It sold within an hour of posting that, it had to go instantly because it was stinking the house up and she didnt know what to do with it...I do apologize, I took a HUGE loss on the stock that was alive and equipment..it all went for 750....what a shame, i wouldnt have taken less that 2500 when it was alive...Mike

yes, it hurt physically...I feel like I lost a dog, It is hard to breathe when I think of the loss...but..i will start another tank when I get home, I want to go in another direction tank wise this time anyways...

Its always good to have an opportunity to restart, even if it hurts really bad. There are always more ideas you have in your head to try on the next one. :)

Your not the only one I came home to a wife disaster about 5 months ago it took me that long to rebuild . It gave me a excuse to build bigger and better than I have before . Needless to say my wife is smart and dumped about ten dollars in pennies In my tank = death. Any way I had a few fish make it and some coral . But I now have the tank I allways wanted . So I thank her for a bigger tank lol don't tell her I said that

I try my best to handle my husbands business and stuff while he is away. There are tasks I sometimes have to deal with I don't want to and are messy, but I do them if he asks.....cause I never know when I may ask him a favor he doesn't enjoy either....that's just the give and take of marriage.

Hi my name is ray and im the one that bought your tank. boy it wasnt an easy chore getting tore apart and out of your house. you couldnt see in the tank at all so i was blind reaching for corals and rock. all of the sps were dead. the clams made it 2 days and died. all of the zoas are doing fine and are starting to open good. i think i saved 2 candy canes and a few odd and end corals. the live rock is awful with the dead corals on it, so i am drying them and gonna recycle them. the probblem i think was either the dc8 wich doesnt work at all right now. or there was a broken heater in the sump that could have thrown the breaker.
