Hi everyone!

NCPARS is going to have an informational table set up at That Pet Place's Customer Appreciation Sale on Saturday, September 27th. Here is what we plan to accomplish:

1.) A digital slide show that will feature our club activities, club member tanks and our school projects.

2.) Scheduled fragging demos.

3.) New member drive. New members will receive a free coral frag.

4.) Promotion of our upcoming swaps.

5.) Promotion of our Tanks in Schools program. We will solicit cash, equipment and livestock donations throughout the day to help support the reef tanks at our three partner schools.

If you are willing to help out with this project by manning the table for an hour or two then drop me an e-mail at chemtchr@yahoo.com in advance or just stop by. I will be coordinating the event.

If you'll be too busy shopping for bargains at least be sure to stop by the table and say hello to the NCPARS officers and members who will be volunteering their time to promote our club and our hobby.

See you there!

We are also hoping to have our table set up for the 2nd day of the sale on Sunday, 9/28. So if you can't make it Saturday, feel free to come Sunday instead. Right now I'm the only one on for Sunday, so I could really use your company!

Can someone let me know what time the table will be up and running? I can't find anything here or on that fish place's site with hours. Thanks

NCPARS Table

The table will be up all day on Saturday with information and will be staffed by at least one person from 10:00 am until early evening (when the crowd dies down and we get too tired of sitting there). There will be someone there from around noon to 3:00 on Sunday too.

If you'd like to help out with our membership drive, solicit donations for the school tank and give out information on our upcoming swaps then feel free to join us. Please e-mail me at chemtchr@yahoo.com to let me know what your plans are.

Thanks!

I'll stop by, I'm gonna be in the area going to the renaissance (sp?) fair. I'm setting up several freshwater tanks in my classroom this year - angels, dwarf cichlids, and maybe a brackish. Maybe next year I'll venture in to the reef stuff in my room.

I should be getting there Sunday around 12, and be there for at least the first half of the afternoon. Hope to see a few people stop by!

Just a wrap up:

Larry spent pretty much all day at That Fish Place Saturday at the Customer Appreciation Sale, and I was there on Sunday. Larry made up a nice slide show featuring pictures from swaps, the collecting trip, school tanks. He also made up some nice handouts about the club, and we had flyers about the swap. Grace Darnell, a highschool senior who has asked us to help with a new tank setup at East Downington Highschool, was there for a few hours both days as well.

Turnout at the store was a little lower than we'd hoped, probably because of rain both days. But we handed out a lot of flyers, got two new membership signups, and got some donations for the school tank program. Larry is already thinking about the spring anniversary sale (which is even busier) and what we could do there to promote the club. Larry, thanks for your help setting this up and for all the time you spent down there!
