Keith,
Don't hide it in PMs, let it be out here in this thread, so other people can benefit from it too.
Joe Burger did a presentation at a meeting on growing Phyto and Rotifers.
I wish I had paid more attention at the time, but the basics were pretty simple. You can get set up for almost no money. A few empty 2 liter soda bottles, and a fluorescent strip light and an air pump make up the system.

It is simple. The biggest thing is sanitation, you don't want to contaminate your cultures ;)

True i agree with larry just ask away and we can all answer as best we can.

i even went out to atlantis and spoke with todd about his breeding setup for his clowns and he explained alot to me including brown water instead of green water and the whole deal with rots and brine.

i have a pretty basic understanding right now as i havent started culturing yet

im still acquiring the needed materials and waiting on my clowns to lay a nest but i will be getting the rot population going and dosing to my tanks to keep their population in check.

Key point Keep green water either away from the rots or keep the green water / brown water above the rotifiers and if your going to be handling the materials work on the green/brown water first then work on the rots if any excess gets into the rots then thats ok but if any rots get into the algae cultures then watch out because now you have another rot culture.

im glad to see that im not the only one in search of help. But one of my concerns was actually how to get everything STARTED. Say i have the 2 liter bottle, the air pump, the light etc etc, is there anyone who can help to get me some cultures? thanks guys

thanks everyone......also does anyone have some phyto and rotifers i can snag so i can start the cultures going?
