It is the waving hair like thing seen in the vid. I have 4 or 5 of these growing in a shaded cave where my flame scallop was. Toward the back but cannot be seen is an organism that looks like this.

These are definetly not some sort of debris just attached to the rock, all but the thing depicted in the drawing look like the one in the vid.
Thanks for any help.

It's hard to see (with the low resolution) but my guess would be a Digitate hydroids. The other possibility is the feeding aparatus of a Ctenophores.

These things look alot like the digitate hydroid mentione but the stalk is very much like fishing line [clearish and smooth] not like the fuzzy appearance I see in pics of the dig hyd. It is certainly not a molted shrimp antenae:crazy1:

I got brave and went in after them. I pulled them off, they were stretchy like very thin rubber bands, there was an inside that came out on a few of them, very certainly an organism.

dzhuo: no,there are no feathery structures on the sides of the hair, just a feather structure on the tips.

It has been solved. They are holdfasts from our flame scallop. I noticed them coming off it today,it is actually suspended by one right now just spinning in the current like a pinata.
