need some quick answers

Hey guys I don't mean to sound like I'm demanding answers, it's just I need them quick.

Well I'll be picking up a bubble tip from Big Al's tomorrow, I have reading and reading and then asking and asking (I'm sure you've seen my posts here).

Anyway, my question is, how do I know if the anemone is healthy? Any particular signs?

I hate to post multiple questions but I think this may be easier. Also, how do I cover up koralia 1 powerheads? I've read lots about MJ, Seio, Tunze. But not much about koralia.

Thanks

This pretty much goes for all anemones. Tightly closed mouth, sticky, attached (( if buying in person -- either on rock or bottom of tank depending on the type of anemone )), and not bleached. "Not bleached" means more then just not white. A translucent pink RBTA isn't as bad as a white one, but isn't as healthy as it could be.

A good feeding response it nice too -- but not always easy to see. My Haddonis can/will pull in a piece of krill in a matter of a second or two.

Thanks for that comment, and I am glad to help.

That I am not to sure about, since I have never tried to cover them. But, off the top of my head, maybe some pantyhose or something similar that will still let water in, but will reduce the intake sizes.

you can buy and form needle point mesh to cover the power heads...it will look ungodly but will do the trick...

neither my koralia or modified tunze have covers on them nem hasnt moved near them...

Lol thanks. And where would one acquire this ungodly needlepoint mesh? hardware stores?

I'm just going to leave them on until the anemone settles.
I'm very good with my maintenance so it shouldn't wander to much after settling.

Lol, well that would be a fun conversation with the clerk.
"Hi, can I get some panty hose, I need to cover a power head so my anemone doesn't get caught in it."

Nonetheless seems like a good idea though.
