new anemone advice

Sorry to hear. Will you be trying again at some point?

I don't know. It was so beautiful and perfect for the first week and a half. Makes it very hard to pick a new one and think it might live. Also, my clowns kept forcing their heads into the anemone's mouth. At first they were eating just the thin brown stringy (poop) stuff. Then towards the end it looked like fluffy pieces of anemone innards. They did this from the very start when the anemone's mouth was very tight. They were quite agressive and persistant at this so maybe my clowns don't deserve a natural host. It was very sad.

By the way, congratulations on your success thus far.

Almost made it to 3 months.

A new addition to the family, a pending move, and a host of other major life changes have put the tank on the back burner. Things have suffered, most notably the nem. During the whole time, the mouth never really closed up tight, so I was always concerned, but overall, it appeared healthy, except for this last week. The nem is starting to fall apart and is hanging on to the rock barely with a small portion of the foot. The perc doesn't seem to want to give up that easily.

It'll be a while before I try another one since the tank will have to be reestablished shortly. Wish I had had the time to carry this one through, but oh well...
