Hi everyone, I recently got a new nem that was sold to me as a Long tentacle anemone. Maybe someone could verify this with my pics.

Also it was on the top of my rocks then it decided to move on the back wall up top. What can I do to keep it on the rocks or is the spot it's in ok??

By the way it's the nem with the green tips. Not the rose nem!!

That's a nice H.Mag.Like Minh said make sure it doesn't get in the mp40.Trust me the results will be bad.I lost all my fish except the clowns when mine got into the pump.

The price is about right,it's climbing the wall looking for a good spot. They prefer high light, and to be on top of a flat surface to plant the foot.My Mag is on top of a rock right under my lights. It use to be a 250 watt mh,but recently changed to AI sol blue leds.I(this is me) would remove it and place it on top of the liverock high as possible.

Magnifica prefer high light and good water movement. They often craw the wall of the aquarium and move toward PH to seek these. Many died when get suck into the PH. If this happen, all the fish in the system, except clowns will most likely died due to this event. Becareful with that PH. It will most likely move to it.
Best place for Magnifica is on top of a formation of rock right under the light. They need to be keep away from the wall, cannot touch the wall from the rock formation. They prefer exposed smooth rock to attach to. They will do everywell right under a 400 or 250 W MH or equivalent light.

Ok great I will try to move him this evening. I think I got a nice spot if he stays there:-)I will post some pics after I move him!!!

Seem's like a alright price to me I'd say. I got a tiny BTA for like $35 and I thought it was a decent deal.

I think you got him right under the 250, he should do OK there. Keep him from the wall. We may think our reef is bright but it is nothing compare to the real reef crest. Mine move a bit on top of the rock formation but since he cannot find brighter spot or higher ground, he just stay there. Feed him until he almost get to the size you want and stop feeding.
Full size Magnifica require an area of about 2'X2'. He will wipe out every thing in this diameter when fully establish.

A full and gorgeous Magnifica is really worth the real-estate, IMO. They were not named Magnifica for nothing.
