Just received him today, bag was a bit cold. Floated for 10 min and slowly drip acclimated over about an hour, I dug a hole in the sand for him next to two rocks, placed him in and put a tupperware container over top of him with holes all around. Is he going to attach under the sand or to one of the rocks under the sand? If I have to dig another hole for him, is it ok to cover him with sand (not completely)?
Specs:
NO3: 5-10ppm
PO3: undetectable
Salinity: 1.025
Temp: 77-78
Ca: 450
dKh: 10
mg: 1300
Salifert tests, except mg (elos).
Lighting:
8 bulb 54w ATI Sunpower
He's about 2-3" across when fully open. He was not looking too hot in the bag, but after about 2 hours in the tank he inflated and started to drift around. He has these "radial ridges" where his disk would come up to a ridge and then go back down and then back up to a ridge, almost looking like the way a carpet does. I put the tupperware over him so that he wouldn't get into trouble overnight. Anything else I can do to make sure that he attaches? He's quite a lovely bluish color. Planning on letting him double/triple in size before I get my clowns (orange skunks). Also, do you think they will take to him? If not what are my alternatives?
I will post pics tomorrow.
