New build thread... 210 gallons

I've got nitrates hovering at 25 more work to do

My reading tonight before 10% water change (only had 25 gallons of salt water ready) ammonia 0, nitrite 1, nitrate 25. Gonna do a 20% change tomorrow to get those nitrates down.

Are you running chaeto? Dropped nitrates down to 5 in 5 days.

Not yet... I need to get some from someone, if I ever have a day off again...

Glad to hear you are having great luck! Here is hoping for limited algae growth (except for chaeto) for both of us!

Wow, I'm really behind on the updates!

All the "old guard" went into the tank almost a month ago. I actually won a Live Aquaria gift certificate, and placed an order, getting 5 Bartlett Anthias and a Kole Tang. They went into QT, and started Coppersafe on 4/25. I unfortunately have lost two of the Anthias, but the other three are coloring up nicely, and eating well.
The Kole Tang is camera shy, but eating very well, too.

Of course, I can't forget the last PROP auction! It was a great buyers market, and I picked up a bunch of pieces! They went into my frag tank until I got my Ca/mg/alk levels where I wanted in my tank. After a couple days hand dosing, I had them where I wanted, and added in most of the corals after dipping them. Here are some pictures of the new pieces, with a couple of my "remaining" pieces from the old tank.

Looking good John. PROP auctions are way more fun when you have something to put your winning corals into.
