New Challice not putting out tentacles...

Hi,

I added a new challice to my tank 3 days ago. It is ~5" across, so fairly big. It's green with orange "sprinkles" and small orange mouths.

I notice that this challice hasn't put out a single tentacle since it's been in my tank. It's weird when I look in there with my flashlight, and I see my other challice with tentacles out all around its mouths, and the candy cane and lords colonies with their tentacles all out, and then this new challice with nothing.

Should I be concerned? I have it near the bottom of my tank in a medium light, medium flow area.

P.S. I hope it's okay to post this here in the LPS forum...I've seen challice corals categorized as both LPS and SPS.

I have about 10 different chalices and not all of them put out tentacles. I wouldn't worry about it.Just monitor its appearance and growth. If it looks happy don't worry about it.

Sorry, not trying to hijack, but my issue is very similar to yours. Thought it might be relevant.

I've had 2 chalices for 4 months now and they never put out their tentacles. How can you tell its health? They aren't receeding, but they are growing slowly as a flat sheet on the edges. Anyone know what this might mean?
