It is a bit misleading when we start talking about efficiency and lighting products. What they are trying to say is that given the exact same bulb and ballast, that this reflector will put MORE light where it needs to go. In other words the reflector is highly optimized and when compared to the average 400W setup, it compares well.

"reflective" surfaces do not have to be shiny to be efficient. The SHAPE and its relation to the light source are critical the performance of a reflector.

Thank you for that information.

And thanks to Jesse for responding.

age of aquariums in signal hill would be closest to you who can order them for you. The part number is :
TMANTA400 or TMANTA600 (400 or 600mm length). Both of these brackets include the e-lite with 18-3w royal blue LEDs.

Awesome for those with bigger tanks! I wasn't sure it was real.

Since I have a new 250w Ice Cap ballast and a new 250w 14k DE bulb on hand, I'd be interested in the pendant only. I checked the site of an online vendor and found that they do offer the pendant only. However, they offer it in only two models ... 75w and 150w. That leads me to ask two questions:

1. Is there really a different model of pendant for 75w, 150w and 250w ?
2. When purchasing only the pendant, does it come with the bulb receptacle and wiring, too?

There are two version for each wattage, the kit and the "naked" version. The kit includes a bulb and a ballast, the "naked" version does not include the bulb or the ballast but it uses the standard cord with the connection for most popular ballasts. The 70,150 and 250 are all different models only because they have the different lamp holders for the different bulbs. Externally they will look the same. Hope that helps.

Thanks, that does help. Apparently the online vendor does not carry the "naked" version for the 250. Is there someplace where a list of vendors (either online or retail) that can be referenced? Or perhaps you can send me a list in a PM?
