Boldness will increase with time, should eat about anything once it is comfortable in the tank. The ones I have had grow faster than any other saltwater fish I have had in my reef. Downside is everyone I have had got meaner over time. Depends what you have with them, mine seemed to not like any Basslets, Anthias, some of my Wrasses. Things of similar body shape. Wasn't aggressive to the point he killed anything, but they definetely changed thier behavior in the tank because of him. Eventually had to move him to a tank with larger fish.
Not at all a characteristic of most wrasses, but most certainly is a characteristic of Pseudocheilinus wrasses.Seems to be the trend with most wrasses. I had to relocate a 6-line from my DT to my mantis tank.
I cant keep any wrasses alive lol. He dissapeared after a couple of weeks, luckily I got him cheap. I then got a sixline and he didnt last more than a month. I have never been lucky with wrasses, I can keep any fish ezcept wrasses lol
I find this strange. IME most wrasses other than leopards and tamarins are practically bullet proof. What do you have for substrate?
Substrate doesn't matter for these wrasses. They sleep in a mucus cocoon in the rocks, not in the sand.I find this strange. IME most wrasses other than leopards and tamarins are practically bullet proof. What do you have for substrate?
