New Hydor pump

Koralia 4 pics

Koralia 4 pics

Here are some pics.

Sorry, but I can't post the big pics for the life of me. If anyone can do it or explain to me how, I would really appreciate it. I've tried everything but it won't!

Anyways, just trying to give you some scale on these things. Also, one thing I tried to demonstrate is the magnets staying power over 7/8" distance with the added cardboard for thickness (the magnet is actually clamping the cardboard pieces down and keeping them in place. It still holds pretty well and I wouldn't worry about it just randomly falling off of the tank, unless you have little children that like to pick things off your tank, I wouldn't worry about using it on that thickness.

Cheers,
John H.

I ordered three of the Koralia 4 today to put on my 125 gal AGA tank. I am going to replace a closed loop powered by a DART. The DART is much louder than I would like and uses 160W. So I should be able to run these much cheaper and without the noise. The size is obviously a bit of an issue, but I think I can sneak them in the back, behind my rock work, where they won't be obvious at all.

I'll report back once I get them installed. I've also got a Kil-A-Watt meter, so I can report some actual electric usages... since it doesn't always match the specs too well in the real world.

Honestly, with these out... I don't know who in their right mind would buy any Seio below the Seio 1500 and even then, these pumps put out a wider stream than the Seios.

These are definitely the better product at a better price.

good prices, and sounds like they are giving tunze a run for their money, anyone know when the nanostream 6045's are coming out.. would like to see a side-by-side comparison between those and the koralia 4's..

I might pickup two tunze 6045's and two koralia 4's. I was going to do two tunze 6045 and two 6025, but maybe I should just try two koralias and write a review.

Problem is I have 1" thick acrylic walls, and the back wall is 1.25", so I need some rare earth magnets to increase the mount strength.

For a 75 gallon can I get away with two 3's or do I have to go for the koralia 4's? The 4's seem huge.

You could probably get away with the 3's but the 4's are only 1/4" longer.....

Did anyone notice that the 4s say 8w on the box but 12w on the pump?

I noticed that....I replaced to Aquaclear 70's rated at 20W with two 4's ....My heat dropped by 3 degrees....

I'm kinda disapointed in the size of these. I was thinking about trying one on my 37 but they are way too long.
