New morish idols

I recently got 2 morish idols last Tuesday. Here are a couple before and after shots of their streamers. Is this a good or bad thing?

The streamers grow quickly, and they can also lose them quickly. I believe there is a tiny spine in the streamer. But after they lose the streamer, first the fin part will grow and be very flappy, but the thin spine will eventually grow giving the streamer more support. So they will tend to lose the flappy streamers from time to time until that spine grows, then they tend to keep the streamer unless something chews it off.

I have also found that the streamer doesn't grow unless the Idol eats greens like Nori or algae.

I wish you luck with 2 Idols, but watch them because everything I have seen and heard says that one will kill the other off.

They get fed nori everyday and they swim and sleep together. I was told if or when I get the fish to get it in pairs or three of them.

When I got mine I got 3, thinking the same thing. Two ganged up and killed one, then the other two fought until one was left. I have heard other similar stories from others. Just keep a watch. (The one I have left I have had for 3 1/2 years)

No. I got them from a wholesale. Bad news is they died about a week ago.

that sucks. I wouldn't buy one myself though unless I watched one eat in a store and eat multiple pellets. not just pick. also you don't want to see bones.
