Recently had my local fish guy get a hold of a species I've been after for a while..

What do you think? Supposedly tank raised (not sure what that entails).

I spent the last few weeks weaning him onto silversides, finished the process tonight, got excited, so took some quick pics.

Did you honestly think I'd actually be enticed by the title of your thread and take a peek?

Sweet-looking radiata, sir! And congrats on getting it to turn the corner in terms of weaning. Your fu is looking nice an mature, too...I know they aren't really "sexable" in the sense of fuzzies/barberi, but when I see your fish's massive head, I can't help but think "male".

I was very excited when I picked him up. Waited till I had a "success story" before I talked about it. And naturally, I thought "Greg and Renee will appreciate this!" lol

I've always gotten the male vibe from my Biocellatus too actually.. While we're on the subject of my Fu, he has been doing the strangest thing recently. He's been in the tank the longest (a year and a few months) so naturally, he has to greet everyone new in the tank. A few days back I added a green file to knock out some of the Aiptasia issues I've been having. Any time the file swam near my 7" Deresa, the fu would come sprinting over and sit in the clams gape (and the clam wouldn't be the least bit bothered by it!) almost as if to defend the clam from potential nipping... I tried getting some video of it, but the file tends to float away when I get near the tank..

These fish are much smarter than people seem to believe. And the personalities never cease to amaze..

I knew someone who had a group of neon gobies living in the incurrent siphon of a T. gigas...very cool.
