*NEW* Sequence Skimmer - Any Interest?

Hey quite showing off!! I just turned mine off and tinkerd with the plumbing I had one small drip from the out take of the pump. and i also added some teflon tape to the pressure fitting on the water return. Should be up and running again soon.

I will post some pics sunday of my first night of skimming.

You know I got a forty gallon frag tank i been looking for a new skimmer to replace my tunze 9010 with hhmmmm

OK so here my take on the new ReefFlo skimmer.
First let me say that premium aquatics was easy to work with and buying and shipping the skimmer was a breeze.
Speaking of shipping i want to add that if you live near an airport check out air cargo as a shipping option. It ran me $60 for overnight shipping using aircargo! Ups would of ran me at least that and took four days to get to me.

The skimmer comes in two boxes one is the skimmer and one is the pump.

I am feeding my skimmer and bleeding a little off to my CA reactor with a sea line 740 gallon per hour pump and i must say the flow through the skimmer is fine it is easyly handling the water i am putting through it. With my system being around 350 gal i wanted about twice the turn over per hour through the skimmer.

It took me about an hour to set up the skimmer wet test it drain it and place it in my sump. like most skimmers the instructions are lagging in detail. its mostly just a diagram that comes with the skimmer no actual instructions.

Once it was installed under my tank it only took about 12 hours to break in. i did nothing to prep the skimmer but wet test it once with fresh water.
The first 12hours the bubbles in the neck looked like this

but in time turned into this

Now it has been skimming since Saturday around 1pm and it is know Monday 7pm and my collection cup is getting some nog!

I am very happy with the skimmer and think it is well worth the $$ I would give it a 8-10 with 10 being the best.
Better instructions for set up and get rid of the thumb screws and this beast would be a 10!

well, someone with good writing skills should hook them up with proper instructions.

I wrote a review for our club, you can see it here:

I added some information for people who were building one of these that were not covered by the instructions.

Paul.

I was wondering when is the last day for the sale
thanks

As of right now we do not have a definite end date, we have only been going by batches. We have said we are only going to offer the first batch on discount, in which we have just a few left.

Jeremy can you give any specs of the smaller version and a estimate in price. When will it be available?

I can't give any specs on the smaller version yet, I apologize, we have to keep that secret a little longer! ;) We are hoping to have it available in about two months.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Yeah I read the review and it looks good. Just a few spelling and grammar errors, and I think to employ it as "instructional", you would have to break up the steps better. WIth that said, I would certainly put a link to it on future shipments until they can get their instruction set beefed up.

Over the course of my involvement in the hobby, I have found some rather bizzare instructions from key players in the business. One I don't think I will ever forget is the Deltec/Merk PO4 testing kit that states to use a level spoon of the granular reactant, only the spoon is curved. There is no way to get it level!

Good feedback for Jeremy et. al. I have a buddy that writes (translates) a lot of Rena stuff and it can be a PITA.

When I opened up the first one that come that Nick purchased, I was blown away at the directions. I thought "what in the world is this". We're working on some new instructions to include in the shipments right now!

Thanks,
Jeremy
