*NEW* Sequence Skimmer - Any Interest?

Thanks Jeremy! That's what I thought. There is some misinformation about "required neck size" per air flow that I knew was bogus and was ignoring the importance of the length of the neck as well. I appreciate this information.

I thought I had to go to Hawaii or something to find out the answer to this. ;)

Just a followup....

I will have the venturi on the small (relative term) model in the next week. As soon as it's hooked up and running I will post the results. I think everyone will be very impressed with the "little guy"! :)

In light of the entire Bubble King thread and how much it has blown up, I don't want the Reeflo skimmer to get lost in the mix here! We are expecting the Reeflo 200 in stock by the end of October, and will announce pricing and start preorders within the next week!

Well I have officially got the Reeflo Orca 200 running! The unit is breaking in now, but the amount of bubbles that are in the chamber are amazing! I will be starting a new thread within the next day here in the Premium Aquatics forum on the skimmer, posting some pictures and numbers that I am getting on the unit.

:)

Now that the smaller skimmer is out, is there any news on the larger model? I am very interested in an 18" wide 48" skimmer. Is this skimmer still planned? Any estimated pricing?

I think they said it was going to run a hammerhead NW on the larger model. I am think they are working on getting one model in production and out at a time.

I just figured that since it was only 6 months between the first one and the second one coming out, the big model might be released by March or April.

Hi,

You should probably clean the skimmer pump every 3-4 months, depending on the tank, might be able to go 6 months.

You do not need to remove the entire pump though, just take off the Volute cover and can soak it in vinager to remove calcium deposits. Probably soak it overnight or at least several hours. Then rinse it off real good and should be in good shape.

thanks

Hi Jeremy,

Do you have any zoomed in pics of the bubble diffusor on this skimmer? I'm curious to compare its design to the BK diffusers.

Thanks.

Unfortunately I do not have any closeup pics of that. I can try to get some for you. Are there any specifics you are looking for?

Hi Jeremy,

What type of pump is used on the refllo 250 Baldor or AO smith?

This is the AO Smith motor. The Baldor motor is not needed in this application, and really wouldn't be needed unless the skimmer was going to be more than 48" tall.

Thanks,
Jeremy
