If anyone has any questions please ask.

I saw this at IMAC (and oooh and awwwed) and the person at the booth was quite rude. He basically told me point blank that I wouldn't be able to afford it. Of course I was put off and left.

It has always been a pleasure to order from Premium, and I hope this person is NOT going to be your spokesperson!

Nick,

Congrats on your new skimmer. I am very impressed with your 12hour pictures considering it's not even broken in yet. How easy was it to install and adjust for you? Looking forward to more pics!

We were sharing a booth with EuroReef at IMAC, so we really couldn't show the skimmer in our own booth, so we set it in another vendor's booth just so people could see it. That person has no affiliation with Premium Aquatics, or the skimmer itself.

Is the skimmer made here in the states?

They are actually being imported. I think cost played a major role in that to be honest.

Hey, Jeremy, when are they going to appear on the Premium website? Shouldn't they be in stock any day now?

Thats a nice, stable foam head... I dont see much in the way of bubble consolidation at all... like the Bubblemasters. I mean, look... from the riser section at the bottom, all the way to the dry head at the top... there is no boundary where the bubbles all get large or something. Thats a very nice collection cup... as close to perfect as you can ask for.

The skimmer was very easy to install... After that one picture i raised it up a little bit and fill up that collection cup in one day.. It was like a light coffee color. (sorry i could take any pics of it, i was running late for my fishing trip lol) I still have it little wetter till it breaks in but i will take another picture of it tonight when i get home from work...

But so far this skimmer is doing wonders on my SPS tank, the water has not been this clear ever...

Like i said before the construction on this skimmer is just built very solid and good. Plus a huge benefit is that if the pump does go bad it only cost like $200 something... Not like the other brands where the pumps cost $400+ and there are multiply pumps on them...

I will keep everyone posted and keep the question coming if you have any...

Nick

Thanks for all your work guys. I'm watching this thread very closely as this is the skimmer I like and so far it looks good. A few things I would change but over all I like it over the competition.

Here are some new pics.... I cleaned the skimmer Sunday after lunchtime, so these pics are about 24 hours time frame...

This one just shows how well the bubble diffuser works....

Now i am did adjust it to skim a little wetter just to pull out more stuff and let the break-in proceed..

In this pic you can see where I silicone the metric pipe to our standard size pipe over here... No big deal at all...

Nick,

Looking real nice...thanks for the new pics. How many gallons is in your system? Also, can you tell me what size the input (feed) fitting is?

Luis

Luis,

Oh no problem about the pics... I'll try to keep them coming just as long as i can find time :).... My system is about 250 net gallons...

The input feed comes with 2 fittings, one is for 1 inch and the other one is for 1 1/4 (i think... Jeremy can confrim...) ... My box is in my atic..

Tomorrow I will try to take some more pics of my tank and corals... But the system is 95% SPS's....

Nick

Nick,

Thanks for the info. With that size input, a gravity feed shouldn't be a problem on my existing set-up.

I am curious to know what skimmer you had on your system before. If you would rather not say, you con PM me!
