*NEW* Sequence Skimmer - Any Interest?

Bobby,

I just went out and did some measuring, and it would be tight, however you could still get the cup off without completely removing the nylon screws.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Paul,

I am supposed to hear back either today or at the lastest tomorrow a more "definite" date on eta of these things. As soon as I hear something I will post here.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

What type of acrylic is the cylinder made of? And what is the foot print including the pump?

The skimmer is made of cell cast acrylic, not extruded. Footprint including the pump at the fursthest points are 20.75" x 15.5".

Whats the price without the pump?

The body only is $1199 for intro pricing, then will go to $1299 after the intro pricing is lifted. The skimmer with pump is intro at $1299 and will go to $1499 after intro pricing is over.

Thanks,
Jeremy

We are saying up to 1000gal. I have personally had it on 550 - 600gal that is extremely heavily loaded and it has held that system with flying colors. I had an RC1000 on the same exact tank setting next to it, and it's pretty much shut that skimmer down.

Great Price for that kind of performance IMO. I sure wish I could get one of those NW for my 4300. If I ever replace my DIY skimmer with a commercial one, this one would be at the top of my list, particularly if one with a 1500 - 2000g rating came out.

I have not been able to find a skimmer on the market that would compete with this unit for price vs performance that is commercially built. The closest I could find is the MTC HSA 3000, and that unit would actually still cost just a little more with a really big pump on it.

I think I got room in my cabinet for that skimmer. Is the intro price still available? I would like to order the skimmer at intro price?

I know nothing about gravity feed systems but I would like to know if this can be ran by gravity? I'm putting my system together now and someone was talking to me about getting a protein skimmer that would work with gravity or pump.

Yes, intro price is still available. Give me a call when you get time, 317-895-9005.

Thanks,

Reef Artist - Pretty much any of the recirc skimmers can work off of a gravity feed. This unit would be just fine gravity fed, as long as you can get up to 250/300gph minimum to it.

Ho - that is wonderful! Thanks for the prompt answers - this seems to be a great system at a price we all can live with!

don't make them think it's too inexpensive! :D

I agree! :D

Actually, I remember 6-7yrs ago, before Deltec got popular in the US, it seemed that if you spent $500 - $600 for a skimmer (minus pump) you were spending a ton! Once Deltec found their way into the US market, other European manufacturers followed suit, and the days of inexpensive downdraft / beckett skimmers ruling the market were over, and hobbyists spending upwards of $2500+ on big skimmers is common place. One of the most exciting things I have found about this skimmer is that it performs neck and neck, and in most cases better (depending on which models we're comparing) than these $2000 and on up skimmers, at a fraction of the cost to them.

I'm confirmed. I've done alot of business with PA in the past and trust Jeremy's endorsement of the product. It looks like the best choice for a large(r) tank - price, performance etc.
