New style Tek t5 hood?

I've read of people talking of a new Tek hood coming out with cooling fans and splash shield. Do you have or heard of a release date yet? I am in need of an upgrade.

I also would like to know. I would hate to spend good money on a new hood only to find out a new and improved product released sooner than later.

Hey Guys, pricing was just released today and is as follows:

36" x 4 Lamp - No Pricing Yet

48" x 4 Lamp - $358

48" x 6 Lamp - $473

48" x 8 Lamp - $578

These will be available in the next 3-4 weeks. Pre-orders will start soon, as well as more information / data in regards to real world testing once I can get my hands on them. I plan on doing a full comparison to the Sunpower and Powermodule.

is that with or without bulbs? Will the older style drop in price?

That is priced without lamps, however we might be doing a package deal with lamps, which I will know by the beginning of next week.

The older style will be falling by 5% - 10%, not sure of the exact drop yet.

Hey Guys, here are some photos of the 48" x 4 Lamp Tek Light Elite. Please note this picture does not show the lens that comes with the unit. For correct cooling of the fixture, the lens needs to be ran with it.

Right now they are going to be 4, 6, and 8 lamp only. As soon as I can get one to play around with and test I'll give some feedback on it.

Looks good. I would like to see something comparable to the ATI powermodules. I am hesitant now that the PM's are having some issues with bulbs no firing. No sense in spending close to $1000 for an 8 bulb fixture when it doesn't work 100% of the time.

I agree, Sunlight is really getting on top of things with some new products they have coming out. I really have high hopes with this fixture. There is some information trickling in about the reflectors as well that is very interesting!

I spoke with their Manager at Tek, they are also planning a 72" fixture finally.
Not sure on the ETD. If you ask them, let us/me know when.
