New tank with LED light

Can't wait it's now restocking time.

This tank is under the hybrid light, the pics are with that light too , did some color adjustment because the photos always come out really blue even though looking at the tank it's not as blue. I always seem to have the same problem taking pics under led light

back in action, some new corals added

cant get a good representation of this one, it is glowing green! was taken with LED + 4T5 on

Wow. Nice thread!! It was like watching a full length feature film reading the entire thread. Some ups and downs, changing lights, new aquascapes, great read!!.

My boss hates you BTW. LOL.

Thank you for keeping this thread going with the reboot. It is nice to see that even some of the great looking tanks have some issues here and there.

You mentioned that you are a DJ. DJ like on the radio?? Or DJ like Richie Hawtin??

We have a fantastic EDM festival here in the Detroit area: Movement. Ever hear of it??

thanks all glad to get my tank back to something i love to look at

IMO - hybrid is better than either T5 or LED only, forget power and bulbs and blah blah etc.... the hybrid is AWESOME! I have a frag that i managed to keep from my old tank that went from blah to PINK, will get some pics when it grows a bit...this is a survivor.

Nowhere near Richie Hawkin but yeah club DJ, and produce trance music. Yep heard of Movement, I hear Las Vegas is the place to be for EDM...such a funny term, ive been producing electronic music for a while now, since '96, its cool to be EDM now it seems, from a classical trained piano player to electronic music

some shots

REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF CORAL AROUND LATELY in AU!

Hah that's awesome, it's already looking great despite the apparent 'perils' of wild SPS.......... lots of drool worthy additions and lots more to follow if i was a guessing man  Great to hear the new ATI hybrid is working very well for you mate, sounds like they've made a real winner for SPS lighting. :)

Good stuff Rodney  Corals are looking great :)

Trance? Any tracks that we may have heard? Been listening to trance since the 90's, and its funny how things have changed. Most annoying thing I see online is people arguing about what genre of trance a track should fit into....who really cares....

what percentage are you running the leds at? and the t5's? do you have a copy of your lighting schedule?

Thanks

Andy

Beautiful acros, Rodney!!!

Looks like zeo's working well for you... No wonder biggles was t'eed off about your SSC, looks delicious

Looking good Rodney! A pair of Helfrichi's is a requirement for my new system :)

Do you epoxy your corals in place or do you have a peg system you can move them around on?

Hi Rodney,

I am Oliver from ATI. It is a great pleasure to see our Hybrid works so good for you and your corals. And you are right. We made the Hybrid to see the best possible colors in SPS. The Hybrid is made for committed SPS-Keepers. Of course, it is very flexible and works not only for SPS-Tanks. However the full potential of the Hybrid is best seen in nice SPS-Tanks like yours.

Great Job. And all the best.

Rodney, I am in the planning stages for a 96x36x26 and was wondering if you think 2 of the 36" with 8 t5's would be enough for the tank? I would go with two of the 48" models but I will have a full canopy and I want to make sure there is enough room for air flow thru the lights.

thanks all.

Oliver- good to see you in my thread, thanks! I do like this light very much.

Steve - I would think the two 36's would work, just make your scape to suit the lighting...i dont like to put too much of my corals outside from directly under the light dimensions.
