New tank with LED light

The perspex weir was coming off so decided to do a reboot on the tank considering all its gone through, so I dumped all the corals, emptied the tank, dumped the sand and gave everything a good clean

put a white backing on my sump

some new stuff

I think a fresh start is just what the doctor ordered mate, have done the same thing myself once years ago when i put way too much rock in the tank at the start and just couldn't remove it without destroying lots of acros. Are you going to do the full on zeo method or part thereof because the white sump backing leads me to believe you're going to have an analy clean zeo sump aren't ya lol.
What did you use to stick the new weir to the glass this time if i may ask, obviously not the same stuff that was used the first time. Btw, why is it that every aussie reefer feels compelled to put that bloody ugly green Dallas stag in their tank lol.

Looking forward to following the new setup mate.

It's not much, but whatever success I now have with my new system, would never have been possible with my old setup.

A complete reboot was the best decision I made with regard to my tanks.

Waiting to see your new start, do you plan on starting a fresh thread?

full Zeo for this one, ive never tried it before so thought why not give it a go, there are some exquisite zeo tanks out there...just needs effort, time and cash lol

Only reason I added the Dallas, was its awesome shape! dont think ill add one to the new setup unless I find a nice looking specimen

Bello should be wet this week, ill just add to this thread cause its good to see the life of a tank :) even through its downturns

Zeo gets very expensive very quick, when there's no local seller, and you have to import zeolites per kgs. Add to that, a 300g system, and your wallet hates you :). That was a primary reason for me ceasing zeo, although I remain convinced that it works :)

I think its great that you chose to continue the thread. Its very commendable to share the ups and downs of the tank

I'm very excited to see this up and running again. Have you decided which out of your many lights that you are going to put over it once it's ready?

And it begins...

The aquascape looks great with lots of large platforms, you'll be able to load that baby up with lots of goodies
Be interesting to see what you think of the WP-40's, i've thrown a WP-25 in the tank and it's dead silent like the Tunze's but has a better magnet mount than any of my nano streams do.

I feel really ashamed now looking at my sump - thanks for that shot mate :p
Are you doing that zeo fast cycle thing or is the rock already cured. ( fast is good). :)

Sweet scape!! One of the nicest things about zeo, is that clean sump, no rdsb, chaeto and the like... gotta love that

Are you doing the 14day cycle?

Looks amazing Can you post some more pictures of your sump as I want to upgrade mine.
sure, any certain shots your after? I try to keep my sump simple and clean...first section is the downpipes with filter socks > skimmer / carbon reactor > zeo reactor / return.

Sumps should be clean
This is the same rock I had in my tank that crashed, I just pushed the rockwork together to make a single scape rather than two separate. There are only 4 pieces of rock that slot together...30kg rock in here

thanks! Im liking the look of this one too :)

I will do a modified zeo start cycle as this is all my old rock thats been sitting in a holding tank for a few weeks since I pulled the tank apart to rebuild. My bro will be coming over to run me through the steps to get onto zeo as im a newb when it comes to that method

Fyi reg the zeovit. I've been running it for about a year now and use the zeovit forums a lot. If you post your tank info you will get a reply that night with suggestions on getting started. Very helpful IMO.

Just finished the 14 day Zeo cycle, PO4 is 0.01 :)

Tweeked the scape and baby-sitting some hammers for my bro

My 1st hammer EVER!

these survived the tank crash, really like em

Some life from the old tank, some SPS are hearty hey they just want to survive....got lots of this happening!

 for the scape....looks pretty unique to me.... i like the ledges :)

The zoas are pretty darn awesome too . Are these pics under the hybrid light?
