Next fish for QT? Fresh ideas wanted!

Hey guys,

I've taken a break for a few months from stocking our display tank.

Just been working a lot on Coral Imports and also had a new QT metal rack built that can hold 10 tanks or so.

Going to finish putting plywood on the stand this weekend and start up a few quarantines.

I'm a little lost on what to get though, would like some fresh ideas fish wise!

Tank:
120x29x31" (~ 470 gallons), Mixed Reef.

Current fish:
Tangs (Black, YB Blue, Yellow, Chevron), Wrasses (Common Cleaner, Flame Pair), 3 Pajama Cardinals, Crosshatch Trigger Pair, Black Ice Clownfish, 5 Huchtii Anthias, 5 Lyretail Anthias

Was thinking:
Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse (I know I know)
Midas Blenny
Few Blotchy Anthias

Just not sure...

No angels or tangs. Have a very strong idea of what I want for those, but I'm not ready to go forward with them yet...

Have you considered some of the butterfly fish? I love Red Sea Racoons. Or, perhaps C. semilarvatus (if your tangs will allow).

Last round the tangs intimidated a CBB to death after it was in qt for 9 weeks :(

Might try a larger one and use an acclimation box this time...

CBB are very timid and easily intimidated. If you get one of the tough guys such as a mitratus or tinker I suspect it would work. But your tangs are tough cookies once established.

+1 to the semilavartus. If you really want to splurge then I would get a wrought iron. Mitratus are very cool but are small afar as butterflies go

In a big tank I would try a pair of large angels.
My personal favorite would be a pair of Pygoplites diacanthus from the Maldives (Red Sea are even nicer but more tricky to get to eat).
I had a pair of the blue variety from the Pacific that I put together in a 750 liter tank. A very interesting fish.
They will eat your sponges and likely also go after zoas. They may once in a while nip on LPS (and when they find them tasty eat them) but SPS should be safe.

Good idea on those butterflies, I'll take a closer look at them.

Just had a Lineatus Super Male die after about 9 months. When I do fairies again, I'll get a pair. For some reason I think the Lineatus would have done better in a pair. Was a weird fish and I think he just got a bit loopy towards in the end.

For angels I want a Bandit and YB Regal... but I want to try them in a frag tank first before putting in the display. Haven't setup the frag tank yet, so......

I have two Hawaiian Cleaners lined up (I know I know) and am looking into the butterflies a bit more. :)

You have 470 glorious gallons .... stop being so wimpy .... you NEED a large group of anthias. I'd suggest at least 20 resplendents ..... I do so love spending other people's money

LOL

So a few Blotchys won't cut it?
