Hi Mo,
I'll likely be there tomorrow. I won't have any frags to trade, but will be looking to buy anything colorful, and as always, xenia. I'm still hooked on LPS and softies, but no SPS or clams. Did I tell you I got a 240? It's set up, but sorely in need of some nice bright colors.

Woow, you did drive all the way to get that beast then !! I do have 5 types of xenias and they are all babies and kinda hard to tell which is which. Most of them started as one hand and now they are stalks. You can tell three kinds but you can check and see if you like any. I know you have Elongata and Heteroxenia but I'm not sure if you have other types.

I will build close loop wavemaker tonight so those who have not seen it run before see how it works. I love it and use it to cycle live rocks. I have not had a chance to put it on my system because I was going to get a bigger tank and it won't be here untill next week. I will be using 2 of them on AG 120 RR.

BTW, what are you using to power the SCWD's? i bought one, but got involved setting up the "new" tank, so it's sitting here dry.

I forgot to ask, with al the propagation you do, are you in the market for a nice 6 foot 120 gallon and stand? I need to make room for walking in "my" room. It's NOT a big room and I have the 240, TWO 120's, a 58 and a forty gallon going. I have to exhale to squeeze between tanks (life is good (g))

SCWD wavemakers are cool. I use 3 of them on my new clam tank. Quiet and cheap.

ps Someone asked if only the clams from my website were available. NO if there is anything on the site you guys want I can bring to. Just order online, and use frag trade in the special promo box to eliminate box and shipping charges.

No takers on the rock? I am not bringing it unless asked and prepaid for.


Also at the end of next month, I am hosting a frag swap down here at my place. I hope some of you can make the trek.

I used Mag Drive to run them and I have used 1600 gph pumps on them and it worked well. I used 1400gph and it worked well too. Tag, I just sold 180 and 120 because after the babies we were running out of room. I traded all of my propagation tanks for xenias. I'm getting 120 AG RR instead.

The rocks in my tank are just put in. I have taken all the rocks out and replaced them with a new Tonga rocks.

I got to go and finish cleaning my mess.. Almost 12 hours for fun...
 
Been trying to get out of going to the office today, but I can't :( I'm going to try and get there as soon as possible, but that won't be until around 4:30 :( I don't have any frags to trade so I'll be bringing $. Save some frags for me!! Zooqi, you promised me some xenia :) Also, lookin for colorful shrooms and polyps.

Yep, great get together! Nice being able to finally put some faces to the names on here (really ugly faces, but faces nonetheless<g>). By the time you have the next one, I should have some frags of my own to swap. I really appreciate everyone who separated from their charges. Between the Xenia, mushrooms, ricordea, leathers and colts, I'll have a good start on fleshing out the 240.

Had a great day! Just got back from the two 1/2 hour drive (thanks to Chris and Carol for the alternative directions). Sorry we couldn't eat more chicken :)

Well I'm the only one who went home w/no frags, but I still had a blast :D The people who showed up were good folks and it was refreshing to talk to to so many who were knowledgable and willing to share tips and info. Thanks again zooqi for the grub!

It was way too long of a ride but did not want to miss.

It was really nice to meet some reef geeks (as my wife calls us).

Sanjay, thanks for taking the extra time at the end to take Jason and I to Penn State. It was fantastic.



Now to new business. There will be a frag swap June 28th Saturday at my place near Pittsburgh. I know it is far, but there will be a whole new group of people to trade with, so hopefully that will mean new coral opportunities for all who attend from far away lands.

As soon as I setup the details , in the next day or two I will post a link here and hope some are willing to journey to a distant land. LOL

I too had an excellent time and want to thank Zooqi and family for being such gratious hosts. Thanks to all who attended for bringing such fine frags and for the great guidance. I look forward to doing it again.
