I'm going to have a pump change out roughly 10 gallons of saltwater per day automatically. That way I will change about 8% of the total volume weekly. I think a slower and gradual water change will be better for all the livestock.

I am going to order another 300g holding container that will be stationed in a separate room in case of emergency. That would give me 500g at any given time for anything that might come up.

I am running a Midwest Aquatics DeNitrator to offset my love of feeding! Its rated for 500-600g. Like I said before its just another piece to the puzzle.

The frag tanks are re-plumbed and the 6305's showed up! I am hoping to get the Profilux controller online this weekend and everything else buttoned up and automated.

I am going to use the idea of an LCD TV to display all the parameters and different graphs.

I will get up some pictures on Thursday.

Wow, My basement is a mess! I have spent 10 hours this weekend already switching a few things around and hooking up the profilux, re-plumbing the frag tanks, re-routing all wires to the left side of the tank room where the "brain box" will be, plumbing the saltwater holding tank, and just overall organizing.

Well 30 corals I glued down are either tipped over, on top of another coral, or have fallen to the sandbed or behind the rockwork. There is only 2 culprits I can think of...the 9 tunzes I have in the tank or my moorish idol. Since I've seen the moorish pick some corals my first thought is to blame him, but I also know the tunzes are really making it crazy inside. I just don't think my reef glue will work. Any suggestions?

I like to use a combination of plummers putty and super glue. Seems to hold better than either by itself.

I do the same with the putty and glue, but I would just temporarily lower the flow until the glue can harden.. shouldn't take too long for that to happen. The best thing about the putty is when it gets smooshed into a rock hole it spreads inside of it, giving a better hold. On top of that the putty will wrap around the coral too.. giving it a firm hold.

I have been using a new glue that works quite well from Specialized Aquatics. I think the web site is being re-done so I guess it's a direct email deal for right now.

The thing I really like about this glue is it's nice and thick, and this top is much easier to use and re-use than any other I have used.

I have never been able to use the two-part putty with any sort of success and it has just ended up getting me all bent.
