So I was poking around after lights out with my red flashlight and came upon this guy. After 5 months I am still finding new hitchhikers (though I suppose he could have come in on a frag).

He is more red IRL and is about 1/4" so not too easy to get a good picture of. Plus I picked him out of the DT and he is in the QT now which doesn't have a light.

Before I flush / freeze him, anyone have any idea what he is. Bad critter?

He's a sacoglossan sea slug, probable algae eater, and should be harmless. I actually think it's an itty bitty sea hare, although it may just be a relative of the sea hares.

Cheers,

Thanks guys. Hopefully the forceps extraction from the DT and the cold QT water didn't kill him and I can get him back in the DT tonight.
