O-T-Anybody have any other hobbies?

JamesRa-

I meant no disrespect at all. We all have our niches in the same hobby; they're all parts of the same big thing. Believe me, if you can actually make it fast, it's cool for me. Especially if you did it yourself.

With the reiprocal loss of the AWD system, 450 to the wheel's pretty serious power; what does the motor, at the crank, dyno to? What can you pull through the heads (CFM)? You've gotta have some serious work done to that little 2.0 liter, and probably be pushing 650+ Horse at the crank. If you can do it, all the power in the world to ya. I would be extremely concerned about your center differential, and be in the market for a Haldex or a Quaife in the VERY near future.

Paradiddle and Queenz-
I'm not anti-technology, by the way. I'm working on fabbing a Mega-Squirt TPI system up; I'm just having a hard time finding an intake I want to cut up. I've done computer controlled, big, boost motors before. I helped tune a twin-turbo, stroker (3.3l) Corrado, a few years back. It's fun stuff, but no less complex than getting timing and secondaries on two carbs to open just right, only different tools.

And, the smell, you buddy's running rich. And the driveline parts, well.. Your buddy needs to buy better ones. :) I pulled the factory axles, and Powerglide (Tranny) out of my Chevy in 2006 and 1997, respectively. Overbuy for strength, and you won't have to replace 'em.

Oh, and LOVE the WRX Sportwagon; I came about 10 minutes away from buying one a few years back. Awesome car.

Well I would say Kids take up alot of the time until they are in bed. Then if I am not out playing hockey (goalie or D for Ice and Roller)which I try and play as much as possible, I am making miniature dollhouse furniture. Also working on my online businesses.

Can't wait until the snow/salt is gone and she can come out of the garage again...

2007 Porsche Cayman... Oh my... I love her :)

Actually, it's my wife's car, but she let's me drive her (Winnie is her name - the car, not my wife) now and then.

I love the Cayman... it has such nice curves. To me a Boxster or a 911 seems dull in comparison.

Boxsters are weak. But 911s are awesome. Haven't had much experience with the cayman. Let me drive it and i'll let you know.:)

sure...sure... :)

0-60 in 5.8, not weak. :)

The Cayman S does it in 5.3, but we figured that was a bit overkill....

Here's for the R/C guys out there. My wife thinks I go a little overboard with my hobbies, lol.

Here's one of my favorite gas powered toys-

Hobbies? = The Wife’s hunny do list.

Hmm Jet, trying to figure this one out;

  • Wife watches the kids while you and I go to the LFS
Wife mows the lawn so you and I have more time at the LFS
Wife takes the trash to the curb because you were thinking about what you wanted at the LFS and you forgot
Wife makes dinner or you'd starve
Wife checks your water parameters because she can count and knows her colors
Wife goes to HD to get plumbing parts for your Aquarium because we weren't smart enough to make a list when we went the first time
OK, ok. My wife is telling me I'm being mean, LOL.

Sorry Jet. Had to suck up to your wife a little or she might not let me come over anymore. :D

Twin

Psssstt, hey! Road trip to Buffalo next time your wife has to take the kids to the Doctor?!!!

Once the weather gets nicer and I stop putting money into corals and things for the tank....

The soon-to-be wife agreed that once we got a house I could get my bike. So, once I can save up for a good down payment, it'll be in my driveway. Hopefully, I can make that happen by the beginning of May.

Maybe you can have your wife convince mine!

they all gas?
yes, they're all gas. They haven't been used much since I started my reef tank.

I now own a fast electric street car though that I play with most. My neighbors kept calling the cops saying my gas powered toys are to loud for them.

NirvanaFan. I'd get that little deal in writing!!! I had my eye on a GSXR750 (my dream bike), my wife agreed until I found one and it got serious. Or should I say SERRRS! Yeah, that would be a NO-GO for me. Mind you, I've been riding motorcycles dirt and street since I was 14. But once you get hitched, it's not up to you anymore. Sorry to break it to ya

Josh. Sick ride!!! Just don't combine my hobby with your hobby
