Now that I finnally have a digi cam I can post pics. I tore down an older tank of mine to start this one. The water has been in the tank for about 12 hours, rock about 6 I just checked my water.

30 Oceanic, 10 gall sump, Coralife SS 125, mag 7 return, 40 lb caribsea sand, 45 lb LR/BR mix, 1 250 watt MH Icecap ballast, mini PFO pendant, 14k Phoenix bulb. (i love it!)

after testing the water last night i decided that it would be fine for my fish to get out of the QT and go into the main. its been about 2 hours now and they seem to love it. Maybe a little stress, but there starting to explore.

Clown Goby 1, this one is a little bigger.. Does anyone know how long, or what needs to be done to get a mated pair?

This is little guy. He looks a little skinny, but I watch him eat so i know hes not starving.

I would like to know if this is a true or false? Petco sold it to me about 4 months ago as a true, but I think they were lying..

This is my lawnmower blenny, I actually just saw him eat prepared food.. he is now digging in on some mysis shrimp..

And my pajama Cardinal. I got this guy about 2 weeks ago, and I can already notice the difference in size.

All my fish get Dafnia, baby brine, and mysis 2 times a day. They all seem really healthy. The clown has some black spots on him, but I think thats from malnutrition. I used to only feed him chiclid pellets, bc those were the only thing that would fit in his mouth.

here the rest of the tank. I went ahead and hung the skimmer over the back so that it wouldnt be taking up so much space. The more water the better ya know?

Now this skimmer is great. But im begining to hate it. Anyone else using the Css 125? I am using the hole so that I can drain the skimmate, but for some reason it will completly fill up and start flooding the room... I have to get this fixed..

Have you tried adjusting the skimmer at all..? I'm using a css 65, I had the overflow problem too at first, it just took some adjusting on both the pump and the red twist knob to get a good balance....good lucK!

That clown you have there is an Ocellaris clown, not a percula. I bought "percula" clowns from Petco too. If you look really closely at the label in the store, it says "amphiprion ocellaris" in size 1 font.

ah that stinks. If this clown didnt have such great personality I would trade him in for a true.. None of my other fish nibble on me when my hands in the water. Hes just too awesome.

So today I ended up picking up a RODI unit (thank jeezus) for a really good price. A guy down the street bought one off of ebay, one of the 100 dollar ones. Well his wife wouldnt let him install it, bc of how much room it takes up. its like 2 or so feet tall. So he had this brand new unit and no where to put it. So I ended up getting it for 80 bucks. so I ended up saving 50 bucks. Now i just have to hook it up.

I also dropped by a guys house late tonight after work and picked up a frogspawn and a torch.

its weird having a tank thats big enough and has enough rock in it to lose a fish. I hope its not dead, but I can only see one goby. Do the clowns dig holes? the only place I havent checked is the overflow box.

I have a 33 cube and I just returned my CSS 65 to BigAlsOnline because even Coralife couldn't fix it. Mine was doing the same thing yours is. I'm picking up a Remora instead.

Well I had an extra 90 lbs of southdown sand that I had bought from another reefer last week, so I posted it and ended up trading it for some new corals. I got some blue rimmed monti cap (isnt looking great yet) and a hammer which hasnt opened up. Some Candy Cane, and a sps mini colony, which I totally forgot the name of it...


sps anyone know what it is?

Theres more, just havent taken pics yet. Im really battling with diatoms right now, but that should be about normal since the tank has only been up for about 3 weeks now. I also saw a small peice of cyano in my tank.. im not going to be having that though.. Im going to kill it before it even starts. I have also been having an ALK problem. I tested my water at one point and it was down to 2.2 dKh... Since then I have started doseing with B-ionic. I have finanly gotten all the test kits I need so testing should go a lot better.. Im about to hook up an Auto top off and a fuge within the next 2 weeks. By then end of the summer I should also have a CA reactor running.. I also plan to have this tank completly stocked within the next 2 months, then just wait for it to grow..

Yea i dont know what his deal is... he eats daily. I feel the entire tank mysis, dafnia, and baby brine and he chows down...
