Jonathan, looks like you are getting used to that camera, those fish pictures are great.

Now, how about an updated fish room and full tank shot?

Chris

Yeah I am slowly getting better but I really think I need a different camera for the long haul. I will get a couple of tank room and FT shots up soon...I know I have been a slacker about that! It's just that the viewing room is still a total pile of crap! :D

You mean the equipment room is supposed to be clean and free of clutter for photo purposes?

Crickhey, there goes my Saturday:D

 My equipment room is totally clean and free of clutter...it's the outside that's still messed up. I joked to a buddy the other day that my house is crumbling down around the fish room. :D

That sounds familiar. With summer here, my wife has boycotted anything to do with the inside of the house. My kids need laundry done, the dishes are piling up and doggonit, I have to calibrate my pH probe and clean the skimmer honey:lol:

jsweir Correct. In fact I think it is called a Blue Sided Scott's Fairy Wrasse (AUS) if I am not mistaken...I had ordered a Mystery wrasse but it was one of the DOA. Dazed and confised...what can I tell ya?

Yikes! Came down this morning to check on the tank and this is what I found!

doomed%20duster.jpg

This is a duster that has a portion of its body severed off, as well as having ejected its feathers...this is not just a head toss but something actually snapped off the worm. Can anyone give me a clue as to what happened? Maybe a fish did it? Accidental?

It was clearly severed and when I extracted it was already a bit decomposed...

yeah I know about that but this was something more than that. It looked like the body was snapped off...a clean break...

Just watched the night ritual tank laps by the cleaner shrimp. It's a bit strange as they bounce/fly around the tank at night. Like a game where they are chasing each other. very amusing though!

OK, so if anyone is reading this, I turned on my fuge lights to see what was doing today and found more creatures...I only bring it up because there seems to have been a population explosion in the fuge and some of the new things are worms....

I do see new worms that look like bristle worms (and I believe i saw one attack and eat a pod) but there is one that I cannot identify nor can I get a picture of it.

I have not found any pictures of it in any source I know of. It is very thin and translucent with occassional dark bands like possibly a segment connection. Spacing between these bands is relatively large. Can anyone point me to reference material? I checked out saltcorner.com but there are no thumbnails to select worms to look at, and I clicked on just about everything there and did not find anything even close.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah I did check through there but did not come up with any matches. The problem is that these are (appear) to be round worms but with long sections.

 I already do. I have a nightcrawler farm, our property is teeming with worms, and until now my aquaium was the only place relatively worm free! ;) can't find a match anywhere, but hell, that's the deal with worms!

Added what i believe to be a elephant skin coral (pachyseris rugosa) and some kind of bushy acro with purple tips. My LFS is not too good at the whole ID thing...

Bright idea huh...
What's your point? Don't think any rudeness is called for?
