You are such a punk Sherman...I am going to have to confiscate your TV. It's ruining your brain.

   That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me! Like you need a reason to steal my TV. Besides, the HD Net Fights (that you don't get from your crappy cable provider) look better over here anyway.

If you mean this one...

Yes...it has been fragged a couple of times and its polyps are not too well extended. For the first year of its life, you couldn't see the skeleton at all.

Thanks Sherman. You have seen the battles so it is nice to hear that from you. It doesn't look that great to me, but I still have the same long-term vision. It's just been interupted.

It grows fast and it is one of the MOST dangerous SPS to have in your tank. Its sting will kill a coral within seconds, so you must take great care in how and where you mount it. If it falls over on another coral, you might as well kiss the victim goodbye because it WILL be dead. Many reef keepers will not put them in their tanks because of this risk.

Yea I know, I have another Hydno that is much different in appearance but just as aggressive. It grows rather slowly though. It can really reach out there and sting others. I lost a blue slimmer frag before I knew it.

Thanks

Well, as long as you know what you are dealing with. I really like mine a lot.

Tank update: Came home tonight to a crystal clear display, ORP up where I like it, and all systems in good shape. Corals look great, fish are happy and have very strong colors. :)

Good to hear. You might want to slow down on the pics though, were not used to them on this thread  i'm going into shock :eek1:

I just forked through it and it's split 6 times. Can you throw us a full tank shot?

I think you should keep your viewing panel clean all of the time. I know that is probably easier said than done on a 1000 gallon tank... but, it looks so nice when you can see the inhabitants.
