Here's my monti cap waterfall on the right side. It is a bunch of pieces cable-tied to a vertical pvc.

Here's the lower right:

Here's the middle of the tank. The big purplish one is the ORA tort, the little blue one in front and a bit right of it is the Oregon tort. Colors look really washed out in this shot.

It's a bare-bottom, but it will be all grown in like this soon.

Nice! Got a full tank shot?

Sorry, I neglected to take one. So far it looks better in sections.

Hey Dan-How long has the 150 been set up? I noticed some good coralline coming in already. I have been trying since October, very little but learning more to help growth. Thanks, mike.

I'm using 3 reefoptix III fixtures with 250 DE bulbs. The two outer ones are Ushio 10K and the middle is the XM 10k I won at macna. I don't like the color on that one, and I think its why the shot with the torts looks flat.

When the two ushios need replacing (this spring) I'll replace all three with the same bulb; probably ushios again or phoenix 14k.

Also in the canopy are 3 48" vho actinics.

Very nice Dan.

Your caps look amazing.

Have you noticed any difference in growth in different areas of the tank under the Ushio's and the XM? or has everything grown at the same rate?

Cheers,
John

im in the planning stages of my 120 & i'm definitely using 2 maybe 3 of the reef optics III's with the 14 k phoenix. amazing color.

I'm not sure I can really say I see any difference. It's hard to compare the different corals that are under the different lights.

The coral growth rate has exploded since I moved to the new tank, mostly due to increased flow I think.

Dan, besides the calcium reactor, do you drip kalk, use a kalk reactor, or use any other form of calcium/Alk additions?

If so, details please! ;)

Yep, I also add kalk to my RO container that is dosed with a liter-meter, and add about 1/2 cup each of DIY 2-part nightly.
