Anyone know anything about these fish, or kept one? Some of what I read says it's a deepwater jawfish and is rare but other than that not much else
 
they're beautiful fish - one of the unicorns i've been pining for for a long time. i don't think they're seen in the trade very often. do you have a line on one?

Yes there is a diver out of Puerto Rico that has one or two for sale right now. He also has a fork tail/swordtail jaw fish for sale. You can PM me and I can give you the info
 
Definitely a deepwater jawfish. The individual has sold quite a few of them on ebay. I am sure they are quite hardy. I know they command a high price over in Japan.

That's the guy... He has stuff stupid cheap and 100% feedback on nearly 600 sales...
 
I was going to purchase one from him over the summer but was concerned that the jawfish would eat my white cap goby. The goby has grown significantly over the past year so maybe I could have him collect me a smaller one. They are gorgeous looking.
