Ordered a Gigantea from Live Aquaria. Advice wanted.

Its dead only lasted 24 hours....came in bad and I hope bluezoo does the right thing. What a waste of time and money.

Sorry to hear. Sometime, I think it just luck to get a gigantea to survive. I put a lot of time going to the lfs and bring back many giganteas before I get my first one to survive. I drove 1.5hrs each way sometime to a different lfs just to have the gigantea die on me the next day.
You really have to be persistent and keep trying.

I ordered another one this morning. It will be here tommorow along with a female Leopard wrasse for my male.

The main problem I had with them was it was not a gigantea check out the pictures and you tell me

Thanks but I have seen many sick and bleached out giganteas posted here on reefcentral and they always have the purple dots. But who knows maybe mine is an exepection. I was looking at it very close when it came in and it looked like a ritteri but I am in no way an expert in ID of anemones.

It's definitely not a ritteri, like everyone has said; It's a very sick gigantea, most likely with an internal infection. Did you ask for a refund?

did anyone have luck with bluezoo's giganteas? did they refund or give store credit? i just ordered these two:

they look pretty healthy right?

The bottom one looks a little better than the top. The top looks to be a sick gigantea by the look othe tentacles around the mouth. That's what a frequently deflated gig looks like when it's in the inflated state.
Good luck with both though.

Looks like ritteri to me.. If you don't see verrucae.. it is ritteri

They sent you the wrong anemone...
