Ordered a Gigantea from Live Aquaria. Advice wanted.

crap. i only have about 12 tablespoons of carbon in my GFO reactor. tank is 70g with a 20g sump. can i just toss a cup of carbon into a media bag in the sump?

I would put it into the media reactor... You'll get better flow through and optimization of the carbon... Media bags will work, but aren't as efficient...

the thing is, i have gfo in the reactor as well, and its basically full. i'm going to have to toss in a media bag.

Sorry to hear.
So we're 0 out of how many in this thread? Giganteas are tough to acclimate from tank to tank as it is. The chance of getting one online to survive the shipping is pretty low IMO.
Be patient and try to find one at a LFS or even better from someone's tank.

Sorry to hear...your best bet like this is me said, is local. You might want to try ebay if the price is right.

The shipped items I get from DD are usually 65-70'F when I receive it. Depending on the temp., I think could be a big factor in the survival. They need to use more heat packs!

It's a gig, looks white. I have seen white gigs and they are not bleached.
