Osmolator problem

I've had my new osmolator for about 3 weeks now (after replacing and old one that died after about 8 years).

The new one has been working well until this morning. I came downstairs and heard the audible alarm going off every 5 seconds. In between beeps, there is the one green LED on showing the water level is appropriate. When it beeps, all the LED's flash at once then returns to the one level appropriate light.

Any suggestions?

The osmolators had a major redesign starting this year and the functions are a bit different, what you describe is the start up self check, (alarm and four flashing lights). For some reason it is cycling off and on repeatedly. The causes I have seen are a bad power supply, a corroded power connection (usually caused by unplugging the power at the controller and the DC output tip lands in a sump or puddle, the inner hole (+) will corrode almost instantly). A water damaged pump connector is another cause I have seen. If you have a voltmeter and can check the power supply output (should be 11V DC) and physically check the male and female power connections (DC Tip and receptacle) that would be the best way to narrow it down.

Good evening Roger,

I've been busy so I haven't had time to deal with this until today. The power supply is reading properly, and I even tried the power supply from an old osmolator. No effect either way.

How do I go about sending this in for warranty work?

Thank you!
Ryan

Just include a note with return address and phone number. We would want the controller, pump and power supply.
