i'm looking to hook up my entertainment center at my new place and looking for a few gaming consoles to fill it in. looking for xbox, xbox 360 , ps2, ps3.

not sure if any of the newer consoles are backwards compatable but if they are let me know. it's been a while since i've been into gamming. i have coral i can trade or half coral half cash

If you buy the xbox360 do not buy the one for 199 it is not backwards compatible and does not have the harddrive. Spend the extra for the 299 one. check bestbuy frequently they sometime package it with a charger for the wireless controlers. However I find that regular AA last longer than the rechargable ones.

so the 360 is able to play the regular xbox games? and why do you need such a big hard drive? to copy games onto or just to save game progress? ps3 able to play ps2 games?

Mine(PS3) plays ps2 & ps1 games, has hard drive, wireless, plays blu-ray, just like your computer can even check RC on it.

is your ps3 moded or was like that out of the box? i got god of war two i wanna play wasn't sure to pick up a ps2, or go ps3.

so why is there such large hardrives on these systems? to save game progress or to copy games to the drive? it's been a while since ive been in the scene

id rather have xbox live than any other ps3 feature,, if i want to go on the internet i can just get on my computer,, you can even stream netflix instantly through 360s,, if you want a blu ray you can buy a better quality one one for around 200$,, aznnutty yes 360s are backwards compatible but i advise you to just buy a new game that will have better graphics and gameplay,,

PS3 all the way, all bluray players are compared to PS3 and it will take at least $500 to get a comparable one (bought one for my father in law and $300 got me close to PS3 quality but not close enough). X-box live is $10 a month PS network free. Netflix feature is cool but who needs it when you got bluray :) and the home media server is by far the coolest feature for me.... Hey didn't we argue this a few months back....

PS3 all the way ,,,the kids have both ..but for me and 90% of their time its PS3 , the blue-ray kicks butt on our LCD big screen.
