OT: Any tech savvy audiophiles?

I have a yamaha RX-V665 receiver and I'd like to connect a pair of bluetooth headphones that I have to this receiver.

I've googled this and all I find are products that connect bluetooth devices (like iPods, iPhones, laptops, etc) to the receiver so that I can play music wirelessly through the receiver.

But what I want is a device that allows me to use my bluetooth headset to listen to the TV so that my wife and baby can't hear me watching TV at night.

Does this exist? Thx.

Thanks. Yeah, I saw these but I don't think it does what I want.

This thing will allow me to connect my iPhone to my receiver, but will it let me listen to whatever my receiver is outputting (ie - ESPN through my cable box) on any bluetooth headset?

Thanks ninja mini. Good link. I know that BTs range is weak but I'm not planning on moving much while watching the rest of breaking bad. Lol

I've seen the steinhaussers but was hoping to avoid spending $80+ bucks on headphones that serve one purpose.

man....all this talk about wireless and I just realized that I might as well just get a pair of wired headphones for $15 with a 15ft cable. Problem solved. Thanks for the help though guys.

awesome thanks. Yeah, I think that's the right solution. Better sound, no messing with bluetooth connection/disconnection of RF interference. no heavy price tag which considering that Im using these to watch TV at night and finally finish breaking bad, a heavy price tag is unnecessary. Matt, thanks for offer but anything at B&O is gonna be way more than this option...lol.

Now that is the best idea i am an audiophile and for wired headphones get the Shure. They also make the monitors musicians usr on stage. Ive worn them while using a jack hammer and you dont hear the jackhammer only music. Cant hear the wife either.

Haha. I use the shure earbuds for my iPhone and they are amazing. Beast earphones I've ever used.

I may just use those actually and buy and extension cable a 1/4" adaptor.

To be honest, I didn't even think about it. In this world of wireless, I somehow convinced myself that wireless was my only option so I was stuck on finding a wireless solution that would work with my wireless jogging headphones.

The thought of using a long cord didn't even enter my head until I posted that. Crazy.

As for using another set of headphones, the shures I have are earbuds. I use them to watch movies and listen to music while I travel. But I imagine that for watching tv a big set of cushiony over-ear headphones would be way more comfortable.

Update: I bought a set of cheap ($40) over-ear headphones. The shures sounded way better so I'm just using those. Still can't believe I didn't think about that earlier.

On another note, breaking bad is amazing. I'm on season 5, ep 10

jorge do you have the breaking bad disc set ....I recorded season 1 when it was on the marathon .....if you have the disc set let me know if I can borrow ....that show was awesome ...

Matt, sorry, I don't. I watched on Netflix and the final 8 episodes re-aired over the last couple of days on AMC so I set them to record on my DVR.

Rogger, estas loco. I sent you pictures and everything. I thought maybe you had gone into a witness protection program!! ;)

Thank you and Happy New Year to you too!
