OT - Battery Backups

A company I do work for is closing down... They owe some cash, and offered equipment as a trade. Is anyone looking for a battery backup?

I know there are some APC 750ish'es there, new in the box, probably 6months old. Also a few rackmount beasts, 1000VA to 3000VA.

There were 2 power feeds into the bldg, one shared with a hospital, the other the police station... Needless to say they did not see much run-time.
If anyone is interested shoot me a PM we are calling in a local computer liqiudator in the next couple of days after we cherry-pick :)
 
I'm interested, too. I have one that does not work. First power surge we had took out most of the outlets on it to boot. It was meant to run a PC and wouldn't even run power filter. So not only does it give me no backup, but it only has, IIRC, 2 outlets that still work (meaning, I plug something in and it works...until the power goes out).
 
Okay, wow you guys are quick! I'm responding to PM's, will keep a list to make it fair.

Here is the info that I know:
There are 4-5 (depending on if the web guy wants one) APC 725ES it is the one that looks more like a big power strip with plugs on the top. These are unopened, looking for around $40 for each.

Next are in the racks, I think there is an APC 2500 and another 2000VA, not sure of the brand off hand.

Around the office are numerous others, a number of 325-725ES's maybe a few larger Smart or pro series. Waiting for a full inventory, this is all in Orlando. These are all unknown condition, they work, but I hate to drain each one to test since it is so rough on em. I'd look to get $20-30 for these depending on model up to 1000va, anything over that we'll deal with individually since they are all different.

I should know tomorrow more of the details, like when I'll be going up to pick up stuff.
 
I want one let you know what one when I get a second to check on model info. I would like the largest one you have either way don't care if that is a used one or a new one. where do I pick up?

I'll be over there in the morning grabbing inventory and taking notes. My understanding is I'll be coming back with at least the new boxed backups. I'll be grabbing more detailed info on the larger units. Should be getting there around 9am. Anyone who wanted one of the larger units, can you PM me a number, or ask & I'll send over mine. This way we can go over the details while I'm there and if you want it I can bring it back. Otherwise I have to try to plan another trip up this way.
