just rent what they have. if you don't go enough to spend 150 to 2500 on salt gear the boat will have some to rent. the only thing you should bring are a snak some cash for food beer and to get in on the big fish pot and an ice chest. if you fist alot i read some one said a penn good choice cheap and good quality. a good tirger rod maches preety well. but mostly just rent what they have. you said that you have use a bait cast befor so just be patant. i to have seen several spinning reels pop under heavy load so i would stay away from them. and remember that tuna fight. that is what make them fun to fish for. not to mention the tast. ok im going to grill my dinner now. oh ya good luck and have fun. if you are worried about sea sickness buy the pach and put one on the night befor and change it the morrning of. they are cheap and no one will make fun of you. or atleast they will make much less fun then if you were pucking.
