My son just went screaming through the front yard and into the house shouting, "get inside the house Mom! The universe is about to blow up!" :uzi:

:worried:

:eek2:

....just thought i'd give you all a heads up.....:hmm4:

Back in the 50's, we were taught to hide under our school desks in case of nuclear attack. Therefore, in view of this latest news, I'm heading for my desk.

how long we got??

I have my If the universe should come to a end...list I should get crackin then lol

Hes been watching those 2012 programs on the Discovery and History channels hasn't he...

too funny guys.....yeah, Mel...i agree...and yes...he does like History and Discovery, Ryan. Tonight he was sitting here saying, "I don't understand. The calculations were correct according to the computer...what happened?" SERIOUSLY. I was laughing so hard. I said...honey, we live to see another day. He says, "does this mean we can go to the zoo?"

i love my son.

The 'ol "duck & cover"

We still have a "bomb - fallout shelter" from the old days beneath my companies building.
The walls are over 2 feet thick !
I still don't think it would help me if I was down there by chance, when something happens... :worried:

Hmmm.... The sky is falling... Nuclear war... famine... plagues.. overcrowded population... mass migrations... rumors of more wars.. Asteroids.. Volcanos...
earthquakes... tsunamis... solar flares... ozone depletion... global warming/climate change... pollution(oil Spills)... galactic planetary alignment...
yada yada yada LOL :hmm5: Oh, what the hell.. super soldiers/skynet...
what else...?

Is anyone planning on visiting "Apocolypse Island" in 2012 to watch the big show? :spin2: The only disapointment will be having to head back home for work on monday after nothing happens.
I'd rather be able to live free and pilage.. LOL It's more fun than work!

I'm still waiting for my computer to get upset with me someday and embark to armegeddon... "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that!"
Has anyone seen the Japenese Robots? They are planned to have artificial intelligence one day. When science fiction starts looking like reality you know it's futile to resist.

The easiest thing to do is sit back and laugh.
I wonder if Nostrodamus had a sense of humor?
If there's any truth to life after death, I'm sure the 'ol masters sitting back chuckling over all the wasted time spent on end of the world scenarios covered on the "History Channel". Once again having duped a group of monkees that call them selves the human race. Quite entertaining.

Party Everybody!!! We're still Alive!! :celeb1:
Miraculous isn't it?

1984: A movie that didn't do much justice to the book by George Orwell.
With themes we still seem to be moving towards. What with the security acts an all. Depending on who's enforcing them and why, for the future- Privacy does seem to be on a down trend.

Everything we do is going further electronic too. Not just cell phones, computers, bank cards and IDs. How about when it all goes electronic.
All in a simplified chip. Surgically placed. It will be your access to your bank account, your financial records, your Identification and driver license, Scanned simply like a tops card and credit cards nowadays. Bank with it(cashless), Submit ID, pay for your groceries and oh yeah, be tracked down if your wanted... Every move you make and your habits all trackable. Shutting you down is easy. Besides tracking you, stop all access to anything and shut your financial accounts off all electronically.

Then there's the interface plug to connect yourself to computers..
I won't go there. But some people in special areas are already using them.
The mouseless version that works by being connected to your brain via interface. It's real.

A few wealthy families already have 1st Gen chips placed in their children, much like the ones available for Pets. If the child is lost or kidknapped, it can be tracked down just like GPS through Satelite or other equipment.
A high end privelage for those with the means currently. Something with a good purpose. But as with all things good, It can be used for something you might think is bad as well. In the hands of a totolitarian society you will either follow all the rules or be doomed. A scary thought when all Privacy and civil liberties are threatened or gone. Something Technology could certainly head toward. Not a Joke.

Never saw the movie. The book was required reading in the day. Of Mice and Men, Atlas Shrugged, War and Peace, The Tradgedy of Macbeth,.... ahh those were the days!

seriously...the stuff in 1984? Already happening. And look at Star Trek and see some things that have actually come to fruition. Now you're scaring me. If my son does another duck and cover today...i may truly be afraid.

Thanks, guys. LMAO
