we're most definitely going after odom. the only other team i can foresee paying him what he wants is portland, where he'd be 2nd string at best. he'll be wearing purple and gold next year, and the year after that, etc.
shawn marion is not the same player he used to be was my point. he used to be the only sf regularly averaging a 20+10, 2 steals and 1+ blocks. 14+8 is quite the drop off, if you ask me

Brandon Bass is a Magician and a thrifty 4 year $18m. I like that signing, it should add some toughness and didnt cost much at all. Looks like Orlando still has $10-11m a year to use on signing another 5 or 3. Im hopeful for a Hakim Warrick, but we'll see how that goes.

Jeff, unfortunately, that is day old information. The way things are looking as of right now, L.O. deal is OFF the table and chances are the Lakers won't resign him...but we'll see. As much as I like LO, I got to say he's being a greedy little midget.

I do not think odom will back next year. Dr buss is pi ssed off because odom did not reply to his 9million a yr offer. Dr buss was so mad that he pulled the offer. This sucks because odom in the lineup will make us a tougher team. I hope odom signs.

You're right Ali. Man, I kind'a lost respect for L.O. How can you turn down an offer like that, especially when there aren't many teams out there that can match what the Lakers are offering him. GREED, GREED, and GREED!!!!!! Didn't he learned the mistake made by Ariza.

According to ariza he never recieved an offer. The lakers knew they where getting artest all along so ariza was just upset that he was not taken care off. I do not blame odom for trying to get more money. He went from I believe 12-14 million a yr to getting offered 9mill. I know it's a ton of cash but in California after taxes and his agents cut that's like 3 million for odom. He will be a laker I am not worried because their is only two teams that can offer him 5-6million so it's a no brainer. This is the las decent contract odom will get in his career so I do not blame the brother for bluffing. Dr buss makes so much cash all the laker players deserve a raise that or lower the freakin ticket prices. Lakers win 74 games next year. Also sweep though the playoffs hahaha
