Orlando wins in 5.
(Please Los Angeles fans, once Orlando beats those bums, don't jump on the bandwagon. Thank you)

Um i think the only bandwagon that LA fans are gonna be jumping on is the victory wagon in Downtown LA when they celebrate their championship win against Orlando!! ;)

Derek guards rafer
Kobe on pietrus.
Ariza on hedo
Odom on rashard
Gasol n bynum on Howard

So you are saying Gasol and Bynum will not be on the court at the same time? Becuase you just listed 6 players. Gasol has NO chance in guarding Dwight, hes not big enough. I dont get how you guys say Dwight is going to have to work harder. The soft big men of Los Angeles play right into ORlando's strengths. Z could at least draw DH out a little, Bynum wont.

Ariza Vs. hedo is far from a wash, lol. Ariza is better defensively than Hedo, but Hedo is a MUCH more dynamic offensive player than Ariza. Hedo will be fresh, since he wont have to defend Ariza too much. Remember how you guys got Ariza.....

No one is going to stop Kobe, theyre just not. The one thing that does help Orlando is our depth is at SG with Lee and Pietrus. Pietrus can do the best job he can against kobe, which is just make him work hard. Lee will make Kobe work a little on the defensive end, though... I just hope to keep Kobe under 40 ppg.

It should be a good series, but I see Orlando having every match up in our favor except Kobe. And no disrespect towards Kobe, but Lebron was a tougher player to defend.

I have been hearing that las vegas controls the games. Is that a myth?

Point shaving is definitely there as shown in the scandal a few years ago with the ref Donahy. I don't know if they go to the extent of fixing outcomes though.

We will see if Orlando's finals experience, or lack thereof, will hinder them in the finals. I think Kobe and the Lake Show just want it more after last years horrible defeat. I just hope Phil gives Farmar and Shannon Brown more minutes. I also agree that Lamar has to start over Bynum to stay with Hedo or Rashard Lewis. Again, Lakers in 6 tough games.

I think the lakers will start odom in this series because neither pau or bynum can gaurd rashard. They might start the big line up because it will be the same on offense I do not think rashard can gaurd pau.
I think you are in for a suprise with ariza, I think he will outplay hedo, not only has ariza been scoring and hiting the 3 but he will also put the clamps on hedo. Another thing is our bench it is allot deeper then orlandos.

It's going to be a great series I can not wait for it to start.

Let Bynum start, he'll be on the bench with 3 fouls in no time.

The key to the Lakers success with be getting Flips "He-Man-Idol" in early foul trouble.

Lol, there will be no stopping those beautiful shoulders.

IMO the "X-Factors" in this series for the lakers to win are Lamar Odom and Derek Fisher. If those two players have a good/consistent series, the Lakers cant loose. :D

Plus I think Bynum should'nt start. Him and Gasol shouldnt be on the floor at the same time. I think it causes to much traffic in the lane on both sides of the ball. Which defensively causes the lakers to not get as many defensive rebounds...

Rest assured, it is the first of many, if you go in the RD chat box lol.

Jeremy, thatd probably be the best match up. Having Bynum back up Pao. Pao can bring dwight away from the hoop a little. If they start Bynum and Pao it'll be a huge mismatch in Orlando's favor.

<<<<<<< ***backs away slowly, then turns and runs***

Lakers can't guard outside shooting.. when 3 point shooting teams do well from the outside (Houston.. Denver had some nights<-- the games they won) we loose.

Orlando in this case has an inside man that imo can get Gasol,Bynum and Odom in foul trouble. Howard is the real deal. Hes active and likes to be all over the floor but closest to the paint if not setting screens and catching oops. We are going to have to play smarter than him and not stronger by backing him down anywhere... Dwight has energy for days.. Bynum has racoon eyes looks scared for some reason. Gasol has days he doesn't even lace his shoes up to play.. and well Odom is the same as Gasol. Wen need to play 110%.

The series is going to be sweet!

I agree with everything you mentioned 818, WITH THE EXCEPTION of Gasol. He IS a great player, whether Jflip or others alike recognize it or not but he can't get himself the ball. If the offense is run through him as it was often done in the last game against Denver, we all witnessed what he can do with the rock. Get him the ball as often as possible and watch everyone, not only him and Kobe, blow up.

this is gonna be another hard series. i see us playing defense. everyone knows you can't beat a team like orlando playing one-dimensionally. if our current hot core of kobe, ariza, pau and odom maintain their defensive mindset, we don't need bynum to be anything more than a defender/rebounder for 18-20 minutes a game. what we need is some production at the 1... i feel like we did as good a job as we could checking chauncey in the last series (our defensive achilles heel all season has been getting torched by quick, skilled point guards)... and that shouldn't be so much of a problem this series. also, there's no way jameer nelson plays. if he does, even better. imo, he can only hurt his team's chances at this point.

orlando doesn't exactly have a stellar playbook. their offense is very predictable and i expect no suprises. dwight doesn't really have a go-to move. he's playing the best he's ever played and i don't expect him to keep it up for 6-7 games. i think phil throws 4-5 bodies at him a game and keeps him under 20 pts per game in the series. he's a very defendable big man... i see a lot of holes in his game. the finesse he's shown recently- i'm more apt to believe it's a temporary thing... like carmelo's amazing playoff run up until game 3. he's got nowhere else to go but back down to earth. bynum, if he's finally willing to join us in the playoffs, should be doing a LOT of homework watching kendrick perkins vs dwight howard film right about now. also, i should mention that if he gets called for one more flagrant or technical, dwight will be suspended a game. i see us really challenging him at the rim, especially on game 2 and 5, where we can poise ourselves to get a cheap one in orlando. it'll be critical.

we all know about their stiff defense, but what orlando does better than advertised is PASS. hedo has shown he's capable of dropping double figure assists. rafer alson is also very capable of putting the ball in the right hands. lewis is better than i expected in that department as well. dwight howard has shown marked improvement at passing out of the doubles. we need to defend tough in the paint and play the lanes to disrupt their passing rhythm.

kobe... might be playing in one of the best playoff performances i've ever seen of him. his numbers are incredible. but more importantly, look who's been defending him while he's earned these numbers: ronnie brewer, andrei kirilenko, shane battier, ron artest, and (at times) carmelo anthony. pietrus will show he belongs on that list as well. but everyone knows kobe is going to do his thing. he's been waiting such a long time to get back here... and the closer he gets, the harder he's been playing.
bottom line: lakers in 7. it's going to be a war. we're going to have to find a way to win scoring less points than we've gotten used to. expect a lot of horrible calls, but a lot of them going our way.
