If I had to choose between good phone service and features...and good phone customer support. I choose the phone service and features. I'm a smart enough guy, as I'm sure we all are, to figure 99% of things out by ourselves.

I'm an old school cell phone guy. I got one when they were brand new...The giant brick phones that look like military phones. I had to carry around a little paper booklet with all the exchange numbers to know what areas I had coverage in and where I was roaming. I've burned through (in order) AT&T, PrimeCo, Sprint, Cingular, Nextel and now Verizon. In reality, they all suck. Check that folks....That's almost 4 years with Verizon right now and 2 years with each of the others. That's almost 14 years of sucky cell service.

So I'll go with the one that sucks...but gives me the most toys.

(the above statement is a ticking timebomb with this group...please be kind to the children).

I have cingular and I'm happy with them... I've had every provider except for Verison and I'd put cingular on top.. In my area at least.. I always have service no dropped calls.. I have the sliver and its the best phone I've ever had.. I've had it for at least a year and a half and i've dropped it, & jumped in a pool w/ it and it still works like a charm this thing is like a brick.

I think I am going to get the iphone but I don't want to be the first to get it I want to wait and see what everyone thinks of it before I get it..

I wonder how much it will be? I bet expennnnnnnnsiveeee

This is perhaps the most accurate observation here.

...at least in my also long time cell phone using experience.
I may be somewhat slighted in my opinon though. I worked with the industry (back when cell one first launched pre-paid ten years ago) ...and have never actually paid a cell phone bill... they have always come along with employers.
