Our Mini 425 Ocean

That was an excellent price Eric. My 1st thought was "I can use my 300gal for a sump and get a 600gal" Then I came to my senses. I hate when that happens.

I know what you guys mean. I was thinking of going wider but ran out of room. I have already thought about using my 300 as a sump down the line. HAHHAHHA.

I am going to start doing some research on controllers. I am trying to plan how I want my calcium reactor set up as well. I am also thinking on getting a kalk reactor. I like this months TOM the way he has his kalk turn on when his ph gets low. Now I am rethinking aquacontroller junior and may go with something else.

How do you guys feed your fuge? My fuge and sump will be below my tank. I was thinking of running one drain to the fuge and the other to the sump. Then drill the 55fuge to drain into the 75sump. Anybody have any other good ideas.

I am not there yet.More than likely both drains will go into my sump.My sump and fuge will be the same.I have my old sump witch I thought of using as a fuge but I will have to see when everything is setup.

Let me know what you come up with for the controller. I was thinking of the Aquacontroller jr also. The only thing I regret not going bigger on the 300 is the 24" depth. The height is good at 30" the width is good at 96" but going 36" or 48" on the depth would be awesome.

Damn Eric that is one sweet pit.I have a 5 1/2 yr old american staffordshire terrier and wouldnt trade her for the world.Best dogs you can ever get imo.

The tank looks great, have heard some horror stories from glass cages, but like you stated mostly about customer service.

Look forward to seeing some progress and more pics.

Yes I am also looking into a controller.Having a deep tank is a pain.My 150 was 30" and trust me the depth is nice to look at but when you have to stick your hands in the tank or pick something up that fell your arm pit gets wet. This is why I went with 24"

thats a beautiful and nice little dog eric, looks like he is well loved too. our 145 lb boerboel puppy just turned 10 months, i know how you feel.

Whats the big difference with the Aqua controller jr and the Aqua controller 3? The jr can control temp, ph, lights. Sounds pretty good.

The AC3 has built in server and can control more outlets.Has Orp probe as well. You can also control multiple tanks.

All right. So if you're controlling heater/chiller for temp, PH for your Ca reactor, MH and VHO for lights, you're probably OK with the jr. and that 8 outlet devise.

Alpine - I am trying to push myself. Work has been a little crazy since I got home.

Lunchbucket- I got him from a friend who got the daddy from Miami, I saw your site and saw your Torino, My first car was a 74 ford Torino. Cool…

NanoGurl- Thanks. He is a cute little guy.

Clekchau- Damm 145 at 10months that’s big.

Danskim- I think I might go with the jr. also. What else does everyone use on their systems?

Paul- how do you control your Kalk. I like the one you were talking about.

Well I did squeeze a little work in. I got the outside of the wall sanded and put some primer on it. I hate drywall…I started priming the inside of the stand while I was at it. Here are some pics. One more cut of mud and the texture and it will be ready for paint.

nice touch Eric and great updates, the exterior corner rounded edge look great. is that all you have to keep you from sweating, one little fan :D . the heat index is crazy during peak summer. how big is your fish room again? sorry but i might have miss it? and your wife doesn't mind the dust

Bart -I had the AC cranking. In Florida the AC is always on. I know I need to clean all my filters big time. That fan was so I could vent out the fumes of the paint. I have a ton of dust to clean. I need to do the other side and sand one more time. Then plenty of cleaning. I think tonight I will cover more then my tank.

Paul _ I just want to get this drywall done and spray the texture. Cant wait till I am there. So close..
