Was curious I've just ordered a fusion 40g and I'm stuck on lighting. Should I go with 2 a160we and angle them to get rid of the shadows or 1 a360we. I'll be keep a mixed reef a few sps up top. Thanks for the help

Do you think some snails will survive down there? If so what kind would be best?
Anybody ever use that area to grow macro algae?

My two year old 40 IM.
Chamber 1, IM media basket with purigen, matrix, filter floss.
Chamber 2, midsize IM media redia with carbon.
Chamber 3, stock pump but have eheim +2000 waiting in reserve. Tunze 3055 ato, eheim heater.
Chamber 4, Midsize IM Skimmate. Skimmates still running strong. Looking to upgrade at some point but nothing stands out but the aquamaxx hob which i would have to move the tank forward to make fit.
Chamber 5, phosban reactor 150 return and pump. Used to be a ruge chamber with chaeto but i wanted to do GFO with the phosban so i added my CPR small.

I'm running 2 kessil 160s and I love the look.
Great looking tank! Is that at 100%? Also have you tried any across?

I have. I think they work initially but they're expensive. You may want to consider the socks and other media in the future.

How often would you switch them out when you did use it? I ordered filter socks but I was thinking of trying that stuff, except I noticed no one on this thread has really ever mentioned using em and was curioud about em. $30 for 3 sets doesn't seem too bad

I use dual socks in my tank with a polyfiber pad on top of each sock, I switch poly weekly and filter socks bi weekly. Polishes water nicely

Good looking out!! Definitely going to try that, I want to give filter socks a chance. Do you run chemi pure inside the socks?
