Owners Thread: Innovative Marine Fusion 40

Also, what is this pink blob being spit out by my acanth? It's been there for 2 days now on the bottom right mouth; the other mouths are feeding fine, and this one's coloration is fine, but this pink blob was pushed out a few days ago and he's not taking food in. Is it poop that is stuck and should be turkey basted off? Thx everyone!

Seems like its pretty good, but only in one direction. You have a ton of surface movement but it's not transferring to the depths.
Maybe move the pump down a bit to see if you can get more lower movement? You may need to lower the setting to avoid a sandstorm..

Could be poop. Usually I see strings not blobs. Try gently puffing it off with baster..it could be flesh..so be very gentle.

Twas a turd afterall. Feeding baster blasted it right off after a few attempts, and the goby swallowed it right up... ohh the circle of life..
 
I just finished grading NYC 6th grade State Math Test this week...I have a headache.

Tank is great....all levels are solid. I think I am going to take out my sps...just not feeling it. I like my birdnests, but I think I am going to do more lps.

Oh another note, I purchased a pair of clownfish that actually paired. A Snowflake and a Wyoming...excited.

Bet that was not fun..
It's tough to decide which way to go with these things..one day yea, next nah..
I guess you might have babies again after all...that would be cool!
Summer break is coming!

DOS does it in such small amounts, it doesn't matter. I run the total amount in 24 hrs. It does .1 ml drops till it reaches my set amount. I have the tubing in a holder with the 2 part on each end, into the center sump (high flow) Have yet to see any issue with it. They are about 4 inches apart.
With DOS you can try to overthink it and set up separate schedules, like alk at night and cal during the day. I guess it would work ok if you were dosing higher amounts...but like I said...no issues, no ph swings, just steady as she goes..
Neptune sent me new head rollers yesterday. Seemed to help with the air bubble issues..so far..

They are a relatively new pair. They have not sexed yet...So if they do than yes..i guess I used pair in the wrong way there. They were placed together and they are not fighting :)

Summer break is so far away...not even thinking about it!

Ooo..not fighting...any submissive behavior from either? Hopefully they grow at the same rate...nothin worse than a bad clown..except a big bad clown..

Yea..spoke too soon. I still have three weeks before my summer Friday's off start...can't come soon enough..

Nope..they are both the same size. The Wyoming they have had for a while and they brought in a pair of snowflake and the female died. So i had them put the clowns together last week and they have been fine. Will pick them up on Saturday.
 
They need to make probes that can measure the Alkalinity and Calcium in the tank and just use that to control the dosing pumps. Lol

High on my list of things reefers need most...seems like everyone who tried to make this failed..I'm sure the tech is there..the seneye device is heading in that direction..ph, ammonia, and par..just need the holy trinity now...alk, cal and nitrates..ok, magnesium too..:spin3:
 
Lol Red, I think I have a problem.
I got all these corals in the tank except for the Acros and Monti's coming and I look in the tank and see all this empty non coral-filled space that I can put coral in.

But I should probably wait till my current ones grow lol.
